Come only if you get 1st or 2nd category or go to normal colleges with learning good skills.
Placements: Around 75 percent placement. The highest was maybe 56 LPA and the lowest 6 LPA. Google TCS and so on. There are many students who got internships around 56%. The only reason I chose this college was placements; the rest is mid.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and ac rooms, but hostel fees are high and there are no personal bathrooms. In the 1st year, it is very hectic and uncomfortable with roommates, but from the 2nd year, we can choose our own roommates. The library is very good. Food is good, but again, it is expensive. The rest all are good.
Faculty: Faculty isn't good. No, it doesn't do it in the 1st year. Exams are of 2 levels: easy and difficult. CAT 1 would be easy, but CAT 2 would be somewhat difficult. Semester exams are similar to CAT 1. Lab exams are also similar to other colleges. We may get course-related curriculum from next year.
Other: Campus is overcrowded, and a hostel with 6 beds is not recommended, but it is the only option that is affordable for common people as ac is compulsory in this Chennai weather. I chose this course as it has a better future. I hope there would be fewer students in one class.

Review of Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, VIT University.
Placements: Around 90% of the students got placed from college. The lowest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the highest salary package offered ranges from 12 LPA to 15 LPA. Intel, Cadence, Qualcomm, Samsung, Microchip, Texas Instruments, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. Design engineer, silicon validation engineer, DFT engineer, etc., were the roles offered. Almost 80% of the students got internships from college.
Infrastructure: Labs were very well-organised, and smart classrooms were also present. All relevant books were present in libraries. E-library was also present for IEEE papers. The hostel is also well-organised, but the quality of food served was not that much good. A proper hospital was present near the hostel for medications. Sports & gym facilities were also provided.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were well-qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is also different, and it is more on a practical basis. The curriculum was good and was exactly matching with industry. It reduced the industry gap and was helpful for students.

VIT Chennai. Bad placements, good faculty members and too but strict rules.
Placements: The placements are very poor for M.Tech department. Faculty helps students wit the internships, but its very rare for companies to come and recruit the students of M.Tech. In our batch, only 20-30% students are placed. Rest are still to find jobs or end up in mass recruitment companies.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is okay but the labs arent upto mark for M.Tech students. The lab equipments are ood, but are less in number. We have to perform experiment in groups due to lack of time and equipment in the class hours. The classrooms have good capacity and same with the library. It is a 3 floor building consisting of all course books and also some different novels and magazine. The college canteen isn't too big. It isn't up to the mark and its better if you go out and eat. Instead of wasting your time and money in the canteen.
Faculty: VIT consists of variety of faculty members. Like some are very knowledgeable whereas some are too unqualified for the subject. But all the faculty members support students in every possible way they can, starting from classroom attendance to projects and also getting internships. The college follows FFCS system which helps student to study under faculty they feel comfortable with.
Other: The college consists of various car making team which compete in different competition at both national and international levels. So if anyone willing to learn about cars, can do it here.

Satisfied with the placements, and infrastructure needs to be improved.
Placements: The placements are the best part in VIT. 80% of the students will be placed easily. This is best in VIT, and also they will train the students well before placements. We can just go and study here without any doubt. No need to worry about placements, if we have above 60 percent.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure needs to improve a bit, and they are constructing new buildings, and hope the infrastructure will be good at those new buildings. They have to concentrate on games. There is no proper ground for cricket. The hostel rooms will be good. At my initial stages, the canteen used to be the worst, but they have changed that, and now it is good.
Faculty: The faculty members are good faculty and will be more helpful. They are highly qualified, and practically they will teach. If we go for any doubts, there will be no question of saying no. Always, they are ready to explain the concepts. So, we will get a good faculty here without a doubt.
Other: There will be 4 days fest every year. Also, in every week, there will be programmes, and it is a Wi-Fi enabled campus.

VIT Chennai does not follow any category-wise seat reservation policy. Admission to the BTech programme in VIT Chennai is based on merit list that is prepared on the basis of the ranks obtained by the candidates in the VITEEE exam.
