Admission to VIT BTech course is based on VITEEE score, followed by a counselling round. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. Every year, VITEEE is held to get students enrolled in various undergraduate courses. VIT also considers the eligibility of the aspirants for final admission. After completion of the selection rounds, the institute releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

For that in the non-core branches, you have to secure under 50k rank and if you want to take admission in core branches then you have to secure under 10k rank. For CSE, you have to score under 1k and for ECE under 5k rank.

Students aspiring to take admission to the VIT Business School BBA programme must fill out the application form. As per the official website, the fee to apply is INR 600. This fee is nonrefundable. Moreover, students must note that the aforementioned fees is as per official sources. However, it is subject to change.

The VIT Vellore highest package offered during the 2025 placement drive stood at INR 1 Cr per annum LPA. Earlier, the highest packages offered to the batch 2024 was INR 88 LPA. Gong back to 2023 placements, it was NR 1.02 Cr per annum.

Candidates must attain the necessary percentile as per the cutoff list to get admission to VIT Vellore through CAT. VIT Vellore CAT cutoff 2024 was 95 for the General AI category candidates. Therefore, it is not possible to get admission to the college at 90 percentile, among the General AI category candidates.
