VIT Vellore offers a Master of Social Work (MSW) programme via its School of Social Sciences and Languages (SSL). The course is extended in the full-time mode, over a duration of two years. Admission to VIT Vellore MSW programme is based on candidates' performance in previous qualifying degree/exam, followed by a counselling round for seat allotment, conducted by the Deemed University. Candidates are called for counselling in the order of merit based on the UG aggregate. The final selection of candidates depends on the cut-off fixed on the merit list and the availability of seats.

The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. I do go with Thapar. A friend did M.Sc there and had a good experience with faculty and research exposure. VIT is also good, but personally I'd rank it Thapar > VIT > Banasthali for M.Sc Chemistry.
