BDes in Industrial Design is a four-year programme spread across eight semesters. VIT Vellore offers BDes through VIT School of Design. The programme includes training, model-making, prototyping, and experimenting. PROTICS Studio (PROduct aestheTICS), 3D-iD Studio with 30 iMacs, Smart PD Lab, Ergonomics Lab, and Painting Booth. - Indian nationals/ Non-resident Indian National can apply for BDes course.

Admission to VIT BTech course is based on VITEEE score, followed by a counselling round. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. VIT Vellore shortlists candidates for BDes programme based on UCEED score. VIT conducts VIT DAT for students who have not attended UCEED exams. Counselling
The shortlisted studentwill be called for counselling (virtual or physical). Candidates who has qualified and has been called for counselling does not guarantee admission to him/ her. This depends upon the performance in the interview/ skill test and the availability of seats. The final list will be prepared based on the performance in the interview/ skill test at the time of counselling.

VIT Vellore BDes eligibility criteria is to qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 50% marks for general category. Students visit the official website.
IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am – 12 noon). The exam had two mandatory parts: the computer-based Part A and the offline Part B. The UCEED 2025 admission portal was uceed.iitb.ac.in, which hosted all key updates including the information brochure, eligibility criteria, syllabus, candidate portal, and downloadable resources like previous years' question papers and answer keys.
IIT Bombay declared the results of UCEED 2025 on March 7, 2025. The results were announced for all candidates who appeared in the design entrance exam. However, merit ranks were released only for those who qualified Part A and were shortlisted. Part B answer booklets of candidates who failed to qualify Part A were not evaluated. The qualifying marks for Part A were released around the time of the result declaration.
IIT Bombay has closed the application form for UCEED 2024. The application form was accessible online at https://uceedapp.iitb.ac.in/UCEED/home.jsp
The last date to apply for UCEED 2024 with regular fee was Novemer 13, 2023. With a late fee of INR 500, applications were accepted up to November 20, 2023.
