Why Economics at Jamia Millia Islamia Stands Out
My college and course are a perfect combination because my college provides one of the best teachers in Economics and the quality of study and course is better than other colleges. I chose commerce in class 11th because my father asked me to do so. My father is a professor of Economics and I got inspiration from him. Economics is one subject that will never die in the long run. I chose Economics to pursue undergraduate studies because I am good at Maths and Statistics. The various topics in Economics interested me in learning more about them, for example studying international relations, Trade, and the world economy.

Inspiration and Passion for Economics
My base was clear from class 11th itself and I could easily resolve the equations and mathematical numerical. I am passionate about my course because I am interested in learning about the dynamics of world economics, and international relations between countries and understanding how this will shape our future. Jamia Millia Islamia has been named as one of the top-notch universities in the Department of Social Science. It provides various kinds of subjects under the Social Science stream like economics, and politics. The teachers are some of the best faculty in India in Economics courses because they go through a very rigorous process of selection. The entrance exam and interview are conducted multiple times to be appointed as a professor in the University. The teachers are very focused and dedicated to teaching.
Top-Notch Faculty and Rigorous Selection Process
One of the Econometrics teachers Mr. Baig was one of the most sought-after professors of all time. He took remedial classes and doubt sessions because Econometrics is a difficult subject and if the base is not clear then the whole future can be ruined for the students. The college infrastructure and world-class facilities make it a one-stop destination for students. My college is equipped with the latest gadgets and smart appliances which have eased the process of learning. My college life helped me become a better and a mature person. I started talking to people and I became an extrovert. I learned a lot and made lifelong friends who always helped me in my bad times. I took coaching classes to crack the college entrance exam. I took ISBH coaching in New Delhi and did self-study for 3 months to get admission to my college. The coaching classes started after class 12th of May and were completed in July. There were 5 subjects to be studied daily in the classes Maths, Economics, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Algebra. The coaching classes took weekly exams and prepared us for the entrance exam. If the student clears the entrance exam, then the student has to give an interview. The coaching prepared us for that through mock interviews.
Cracking the Entrance Exam: A Journey of Dedication
My college takes the most difficult interviews and they provide live situations where the student has to enact and provide solutions. The live situations can be on topics like world poverty, trade, international relations, etc and the student has to speak on how they will resolve this issue. I only considered this college and cracked the exam. I have dreamt of studying in this college since class 12th and I studied with 100 percent dedication and focus to crack the exam. I scored the top marks in the exam because I studied daily for 5 months and gave answers to all the questions in the interview. The panel who took my interview was satisfied because I did not fumble or hesitate even once before giving answers to their questions. My college experience has changed me completely. I have become more mature and wiser. I enjoyed studying econometrics and international relations because I am curious to know about the world dynamics, market price fluctuations and currency exchange rates. My college helped me to succeed in life and become financially independent because through my college I developed a knack to study further and do something in the area of research.
Extracurricular Activities: Shaping My Personality and Impacting Lives
I was actively involved in the Women Development Cell and Python club as part of extracurricular activities. These extracurricular activities shaped me as a person and helped me develop my personality. I became an extroverted person and learned about the world and its problems. I visited many new places through the Women Development Cell, especially the remote villages of India to understand the problem at the grassroots level. I tried to help rural women through various schemes and policies to uplift these women and help them live a good life. We worked to provide education and basic facilities to these women through which we could help them raise their standard of living. Women empowerment has been truly successful under the Women Development Cell. The Cell was given the UN Award in the year 2018 by the President of the USA Donald Trump because of their work and the impact it brought in the lives of rural women in India.
