Jamia admissions to all the MA specialisations is based on a candidate's performance in the University-conducted entrance exam called Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam. The JMI Entrance Exam is conducted annually in offline mode at seven examination centres, including Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Srinagar and Kolkata. Q:   Does JMI accept CAT score for MBA admission?

As per the official 2023 brochure of Jamia Millia Islamia, the university considers the scores of Jamia Entrance Test for admission to MBA. Interested students seeking admission are required to have completed their undergraduate degree from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent grade. However, students who have a valid CAT score can reach out to the admission office to confirm if such special cases can be treated individually for admission to the MBA programme.

 Jamia Millia Islamia is considered to be one of the top universities to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and advanced Diploma programmes, and students from all around the country and abroad aspire to be a part of this renowned university. Jamia conducts JMI Entrance Examfor admission to most of its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Each year the bar is raised and the exam along with the competition only becomes tougher. Like all other exams, the minimum marks have been set for the candidates to qualify in the Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam. As per the general guidelines released by the university, candidates obtaining less than 15% marks in the Objective Type/ Multiple Choice questions will not be shortlisted for interview/admission. Similarly, candidates obtaining less than 30% marks in the descriptive part of the Entrance Test, wherever applicable, will not be shortlisted for interview/ admission. As the minimum qualifying marks are fixed, the candidates should prepare themselves in such a way that they can get more than the prescribed marks in the exam and get selected for the next level.

  • NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% and 2%, respectively in the aggregate of the qualifying examination.

  • Jamia Merit Scholarship: The top scorers of the respective exams are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Merit Scholarship for the Centre of Management: This scholarship is given to MBA first and second-semester students. The top scorers of semester exams are awarded this scholarship.
  • SC/ST/OBC Scholarship: This scholarship is given to the reserved category candidates. Economically weak candidates are also eligible for this scholarship.
  • Scholarship for International Exchange Programme: Candidates who are selected for the International Exchange Programme are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is offered by the Centre for Management Studies.
