B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) - Batch of 2025

The campus life is excellent for students.
Placements: Placements are very much attentive in this college with facilities like e-cell and innovation centers that help students in a social venture. There is a comprehensive of various guest lectures with industrial experts and their requirements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average as it is situated in the western ghats with good scenery and a cold climate. The variety of food is good in the hostel of each area of residents. The infrastructure is massive. The facilities are good but utilisation in undergraduate is average.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and comprised of valued life lessons. Exams mode and valuation are very much average, but the experience is different.

I feel proud, satisfied and blessed, but placements are rare in our course.
Placements: Only 10% of students were placed, and the remaining students went for higher studies or other options. I don't have much idea about salaries. Non of the company visited the college for our course. The leadership role was offered to students. For complete B.Tech course, the highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, the lowest salary package offered maybe 7 LPA, and the average salary package offered might be 8 LPA. Almost 10% of the students got in-plant training in IIT, DRDO and HAL.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Labs are well-equipped with the latest instruments, and it is a perfect place for doing research. The hostel is good, and the facilities are well-organised. Quality of food is good and tasty, and canteens are the best. Medical facilities are not bad. However, it is good for urgent needs. Sports and games are encouraging and very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, but the concepts were not practical. The syllabus is poor to get a job in the core company. The course curriculum is not useful. I didn't prepare more by learning the concepts deeply. However, the course was full of theoretical knowledge.
Other: I had a passion for working in ISRO, so I took this course. Moreover, I was interested to learn about space. Students get an insight into aircraft and rockets. The course should be more practical rather than being more theoretical. The campus is tidy and beautiful. Scholarships are also provided by the college, which helps students to some extent. Events and fests conducted here are fabulous and enjoyable. Campus crowd is average. Extracurricular activities bring out the potential of each student in the campus.

It is a good learning place, but could have been better.
Placements: Placements for our batch were less compared to our super senior batches. The highest salary package offered was 12 lacs per annum, and the average package offered was 3.50 lacs per annum. Companies like Accenture, Wipro, Smart Trainers, Face Trainers, Indian Navy, Nutanix, etc., visited the campus to offer placements. Mostly, IT-based roles were offered to students. There were a few core companies for other departments too, but as for aerospace, no core companies came for placements. I am not sure about the percentage of students who got internships or their stipend, but many students have gone abroad for internships through the student exchange programme. We have a placement cell too, and it is quite good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. Labs and classrooms are good. Excellent accommodation and best food facilities are available in all the colleges. I hadn't face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college. Aerospace labs have the infrastructure which is available in only 3 to 4 colleges in India including IITs. Students from other colleges come to our labs to conduct experiments.
Faculty: Faculty members of the aerospace department are highly knowledgeable and qualified. Most of them are from IITs and have experience of several decades in this field. But, the course curriculum was not up to the mark to provide us with core knowledge to get placed in a core company. I didn't get any industrial exposure.
Other: The campus is excellent. Students and faculty members have great involvement in each event conducted on campus. The college provides great support for sports and social services, and the NCC Battalion is excellent.

Amazing college for all the materialistic standards, but the way, the management thinks, is narrow.
Placements: Placements here are really good, and I was placed in a good company, and I'm still working here. The placement here only depends on your interpersonal skills. When you can actually express, then you can have it, and Karunya has really helped me do that to develop my interpersonal skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is amazing. I guess, we have about 700 acres of a lush green land surrounded by mountains and really wide walkways. Also, in all the departments here, we had the latest equipment, and in my aerospace lab, we had a shock wave tunnel which is only available in IITs and also we would be the only private college in India to have a 3D printing technology.
Faculty: The faculty here have always been great. However, every faculty here is different as they come from different parts of India. Karunya being in Tamil Nadu has always had a partial side towards Tamilians, be it the faculty or the students. The courses here are updated and are the latest and is also choice based, but basically, if you don't go with the crowd, then you would be left out, so there is no real choice as such.

The college is the best in class compared to other colleges.
Placements: No companies had come from aerospace industry for the placement for 2015 batch. Our seniors have got placed in companies like Quest global, Cognizant. In Quest global, about 30 percent of the seniors got placed and others got into Cognizant and few are working in Team Indus Aerospace. The salary offered was around 4.5 LPA CTC. Most of the students did their internship from ISRO, Tanuja Aerospace, and HAL. For a stipend, these students used to get RS. 5,000 per month and some were interns without payment. There is a placement cell in the college which is very efficient. If you are not placed in the core stream companies, they make sure you will get into some other company by allowing you to attend interviews.
Infrastructure: The labs and Wi-Fi connectivity in the college are really good. The internet is super fast, but they have blocked few websites like facebook. You will only get access to Facebook for an hour in the night, after that, they will block. Karunya is a residential college, the hostel rooms are very clean and big. We have an option to take a single room in the third year. The food is really good, but sometimes it becomes worse and only happens once or twice in a semester. Water purifiers are there on every floor.
Faculty: Most of the faculty have a good knowledge of the subject and very few have not. We had an option to review bad or good about the faculty in the student portal and necessary actions were taken in the college. We had industrial visits from the second year. We had about four industrial visits from the second year to the third year. The aerospace department had good knowledge professors from ISRO, and they have transferred their knowledge very well.
Other: The campus is really beautiful. The view of mountains next to college is really wonderful. There is a waterfall near our college. It's cold almost everytime during the year. The college has many events every year which include the famous Mindkraft. You will get the Wi-Fi connectivity at every corner of the college which is super fast. The students with good academic score can apply for the different types of scholarships, which includes student exchange programme. In the student exchange programme, a student gets the chance to go to another country and study one semester in that college.

The cutoff depends upon the various number of candidates that have the test and on that basis the list is prepared although to have a rank above 1000 to 5000 is great for B.Tech.
