NMIMS evaluates candidate performance without negative marking, awarding one mark for every correct response. Because the exam runs across multiple days and shifts, the university applies a statistical normalisation formula to equate raw scores and ensure fairness. Candidates are permitted one main exam and two retakes. NMIMS compiles the final merit list by extracting the highest normalised score from the candidate's total attempts.

• Pay the mandatory annual course fee within the timeline specified on the portal. Failing to pay the fee results in the immediate cancellation of the offer.

• Upload the necessary 10+2 board exam mark sheets. If original physical copies are delayed, candidates must upload internet copies or DigiLocker mark sheets within seven working days of their board result declaration.

Mandatory Eligibility Checks for NMIMS Admission

Even after candidates pay the course fee, the admission offer remains provisional until the university verifies all eligibility criteria.

• Age Limit: Candidates applying for the BBA program must not exceed 25 years of age at the time of admission.

• Academic Scores: Students must hold a minimum aggregate score of 50% in their 10+2 board examinations. This aggregate calculation must include all registered subjects on the mark sheet, rather than just the "best of four" or "best of five" subjects.

• Subject Rules: Mathematics or Statistics is not a mandatory 12th-grade subject for the core BBA program, BBA Branding & Advertising, or BBA International Business. However, Mathematics is compulsory if a candidate applies for BBA Finance or BBA FinTech.

NMIMS BBA Seat Intake and Campus-Wise Fees

For the 2026 academic session, the core BBA program holds a total intake capacity of 1,560 seats across the participating campuses. The Mumbai campus alone offers 600 seats for this flagship program. Other specialized management degrees have smaller intakes, such as BBA Branding & Advertising with 240 seats and BBA International Business with 240 seats.

Students opting for niche variations of the program in Mumbai will face different fee requirements. For example, BBA FinTech costs INR 4,00,000 annually, BBA Branding & Advertising costs INR 5,50,000, and the premium BBA Finance track costs INR 8,25,000 per year.

NMIMS Hostel Accommodation and Booking

Once a candidate successfully pays the academic admission fee, they gain access to the NMIMS hostel application portal. For the Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Sanand (Ahmedabad) campuses, hostel beds are assigned strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

However, for the Indore, Hyderabad, and Shirpur campuses, staying in the campus hostel is mandatory for all admitted students. The only exception is for students who can provide official documents proving they are permanent residents of those specific local areas.
