SET Cut Off 2025, Previous Year Cutoff (2024-2021): Category & College Wise

SET cut-offs will be announced after the declaration of the result. The SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious colleges of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and each individual institute releases their own cutoff after the results are announced. No, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) does not hold a centralized counseling process for BBA Admissions through SET. The role of Symbiosis University is to only conduct the SET exam and prepare the results. The role in BBA process is only sharing the result/scorecard of candidates with the BBA participating institutes that they have selected in the SET application form. The participating institutes prepare their own merit list and select candidates for admission basis the result shared by Symbiosis University. The minimum eligibility criteria for shortlisting is passing marks in SET. However, the selection is based on cut-offs fixed by the institutes. The institutes accepting SET scores inform students about their shortlist status via e-mail when the admission windows open. Candidates who are expecting a call from the institutes they had selected in the SET application form must keep a check on their email (spam section too) for the interview invitation.

After the SET exam is over, candidates should follow the below mentioned instructions:

1. Drop the exception form, if any, in the drop box outside the lab or centre
2. Rough sheets used during the exam should be dropped into the drop box designated for the same.
3. Do no litter the exam centre
4. Follow the instructions of the volunteer at the exam centre for the exit path.

Candidates can only attempt the SET exam twice on the given test dates. The SET exam 2026 is expected to be conducted on two dates, likely in the first and second week of May 2026. The SET exam 2026 will likely be conducted on two days (one session each day).

Candidates can mention their number of attempts while filling the SET application form. However, they have to pay the application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.  The scores of best attempt will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for WAT/GD/PI/Studio Test.

Individual participating institutes released their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. SET cutoff is a major criteria for students to get admissions to their desired colleges. According to the previous years, the SET cutoff in the top institutes generally range from 45 to 89. The SET cutoff varies from one institute to another. The expected SET cutoff for the General category students is 89 and that for those belonging to SC and ST categories is 50 and 48 respectively. After the declaration of SET result, each participating institute will release a cutoff list to shortlist the candidates. The participating institutes will then call the candidates for the admission process which includes further rounds. If candidates want to apply at colleges other than those selected during the SET application process, then they will have to fill out the application form for those other colleges individually. The SET selection process includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Applicants can begin preparing for the GD/PI rounds soon after the SET result announcement. SET score remains valid for one year for BBA admission. The final admissions will be based on candidates' performance in the SET exam as well as in WAT/PI/ST rounds.
