Q:   Is there a sectional time limit in MAH BBA CET?

No, there is no sectional time limit in the MAH BBA CET exam. The total duration of the MAH BBA CET exam is 90 minutes and the students have to solve the question paper within the stipulated time. Students can switch between sections and questions as per their convenience. This time there are no sectional cutoffs also as the exam was conducted for the first time.

Q:   What is the marking scheme in the MAH BMS BBA CET exam?
A: 

The marking scheme of MAH BBA CET is very simple. The total marks is 100 for 100 questions. Which means, every question carries one mark. There is no negative marking. In case of incorrect attempt, candidates will be marked zero. If they skip a question, even then they will be marked zero. Total marks of a candidate will be calculated out 100 based on their total number of correct attempt.

Section wise the marks allotment is as follows:

  • English: 30 marks
  • Reasoning: 30 marks
  • General Knowledge: 20 marks
  • Computer-Basics: 20 marks

The percentile is calculated on the basis of top scoring candidate’s marks against all other candidates.

Q:   What is the exam pattern and syllabus of MAH BBA CET?

Maharashtra BBA Common Entrance Test (MAH BBA CET) is conducted by the State Cell for admission into various management colleges across Maharashtra. MAH BBA CET is conducted online for a duration of 120 minutes. English, General Knowledge, Reasoning and Computer Basics are the sections which are tested in the examination.

1 mark is awarded for correct answers and no marks are deducted for the wrong answer which means there is no negative marking. Question paper can only be answered in English.

  1. English- This is a test to see how well you know the English language. In this test, there will be passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. 
  2. Reasoning- This test measures how quickly and accurately you can think. This test may have questions based on figures and diagrams and also questions on verbal reasoning. 
  3. General Knowledge- As the name suggests, this tests the candidate's general knowledge about the world and happenings in and around the world. 
  4. Computer-Basics- This test measures the basic knowledge of the computer and its applications.

MAH BBA CET exam will be conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses once a year. The MAH BBA CET 2026 exam will be conducted in the month of April 2026, in multiple shifts. Students can choose their preferred date while filling the MAH BBA CET application form.

Q:   What is the MAH BBA CET exam duration and exam slot?
A: 
The MAH BBA CET exam is held for 120 minutes. MAH BBA CET 2025 exam will be conducted in two slots in a day. MAH BBA CET exam does not have any sectional time limit as well. However, the candidates need to solve the question paper in 120 minutes and this means that the students will have approximately one minute to solve each question. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment 120 minutes will get over, the screen will automatically end the test. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates must make sure that they reach the MAH BBA CET exam centre at least an hour before the exam time. 
Q:   Is MAH BBA CET exam easier than IPMAT?
A: 
Yes, as compared to the IPMAT exam, the MAH BBA CET exam is easier. The reasons behind this are:
1. The MAH BBA CET has less competition than the IPMAT which is a state-level exam.
2. There is no negative marking in the MAH BBA CET exam, unlike the IPMAT exam.
3. The nature of the questions in the Quantitative Aptitude section is also easier in the MAH BBA CET than the IPMAT.

For good preparation, it is important for the students to know the MAH BBA CET syllabus. The syllabus is divided into 4 sections, Reasoning (Verbal and Arithmetic), English, General Knowledge and Awareness and Computer Basics. 

English section includes topics such as reading comprehension, vocabulary, phrases and idioms, synonyms, antonyms, etc. 

Topics such as Puzzles, Syllogisms, Coding and Decoding, etc., are included in the reasoning section. There are also topics related to numerical reasoning.

General Knowledge and Awareness section includes topics such as Current Affairs, National and International Affairs, Trade and Commerce, Culture, Scientific Inventions and Discoveries, Sports, History, etc. 

Topics such as CPU, Input and Output Devices, Computer Memory, Backup Devices, Memory Organization, System Software and Application Software, Basics of the Internet, etc., are included in the Computer Basics section.
