
NSAT 2026 Counselling for admission to BTech, BBA, BA LLB, BBA LLB courses at NIU will be held in the month of July (tentative) for candidates qualifying the entrance exam. The counselling process is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to the UG courses. It includes group discussion and personal interview. NSAT 2026 counselling schedule for each course will be communicated to selected students. They have to be present in person for Counselling. In case of absence, the seat will be allotted to the next deserving candidate. Here’s the list of document you must carry for NSAT Counselling:
- NSAT 2026 scorecard
- Class 10 certificate
- Class 12 certificate
- Proof of address
- Aadhar or any other ID proof
- School Leaving Certificate
Candidates seeking admission through CUET or JEE Main must carry scorecard of these exams.

No, NSAT or NIU Scholarship cum Admission Test is not mandatory for NIU admission. The institute also accepts CUET for technical programmes. If a candidate has CUET score they can directly seek admission to NIU through counselling. However, if a candidate wishes to appear for NSAT and use its score for admission, they are allowed to do so.
NIU admission process through NSAT includes shortlisting of candidates for counselling, conduct of counselling round and final selection. Candidates who meet NSAT cut off or CUET cut off, are shortlisted for admission and a provisional merit list is released. Selected candidates are then required to reserve seat by paying 50 percent of the semester fee. The remaining fee is to be paid within a month to confirm admission.

Yes, you can fill the NSAT application form first and pay the fee later. But make sure to pay the fee before the last date otherwise, your application will be cancelled.

After NSAT result announcement, candidates selected for admission have to pay 50% of the semester fee and confirm admission before the deadline. If they fail to do so, their candidature will be cancelled.

No, it is not allowed to change the test centre after NSAT 2026 admit card has been released. Candidates will have to appear for the exam at the centre as mentioned in the NSAT admit card.

NSAT exam is conducted for 1.5 hours. There is no break inbetween. There is no sectional time limit too, so candidates will have to be mindful of time distribution for each section.
