CBSE Class 10th SST Weightage: Section-wise Marks Distribution
The Board has divided the 100 marks into two parts: Theory exam for 80 marks, and practical exam for 20 marks. The CBSE Class 10th Theory exam has 4 sections in the SST exam, each of which is assigned the same weightage of around 20 marks in the final exam. Percentage = (513 / 600) * 100 = 85.5%
5. CGPA Calculation (if applicable)
CBSE may also provide a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) system.
To calculate CGPA:
Convert the grades of each subject to grade points.
Average the grade points.
Example:
A1 = 10, A2 = 9, B1 = 8, B2 = 7, etc.
Total Grade Points = (10 + 9 + 8 + 8 + 9) = 54
CGPA = Total Grade Points / Number of Subjects
CGPA = 54 / 5 = 10.8
