The Central Board of Secondary Education will soon release CBSE private candidate form 2027. For 2026 exam, the form was released on September 9, 2025. The board will conduct CBSE Class 10 exam 2027 for private candidate from February and March 2027. The exam for CBSE Class 12 candidates will be held from February to April 2027. Who is eligible to fill CBSE Private Candidate form 2027?

To fill CBSE private candidate registration 2027 class 12 & 10, students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria highlights who can apply for full subjects, improvement, compartment and additional subjects. Check the CBSE Private candidate form 2027 eligibility below.

Category Eligibility Criteria

Full Subjects

Students whose results are declared as essential repeat in 2026
Those who results were declared as fail/essential repeat in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026

Students who could not appear for the exam due to medical reason or shortage of attendance in 2026

Candidates who have been placed under compartment category in two subjects. Such candidates can select their category as Essential Repeat

Compartment Students

Those who have been placed in a compartment category can apply only in the subject in which he/she is placed under compartment. Such candidates need to select as compartment category

Improvement

Students who passed the exam in 2026 but want to improve performance in one or two subjects

Additional subject

Students who passed the board exam can apply for additional subjects from the list of subjects within two years of passing.
