BIT Sindri Courses & Fees 2025
Admission can be done by applying for courses at the institute. The institute offers B.E. / B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech. There is a wide range of specialisations offered for these courses. Candidates must complete the eligibility criteria before applying for BIT Sindri courses. BIT Sindri offers admission to BTech course through Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE). The selection for M.Tech programme is based on GATE score of the aspirants. Besides, the institute conducts a written test/ interview to shortlist aspirants for PhD programmes. Hence, direct admission is not possible at BIT Sindri. Aspirants need to pass selection rounds to get a seat in the institute.
Computer Science Engineering is one of the specialisations offered in BTech by BIT Sindri. It is one of the popular specialisations. Students pursuing BTech CSE from BIT can participate in the placement drive conducted by the institute. Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri has concluded its placement process for its BTech batch passing out in 2024. As per the latest report, the the highest package and average package offered during placements in 2024 stood at INR 16.50 LPA and INR 7.57 LPA, respectively.
BIT Sindri admissions begin with registration. For MTech and PhD, candidates can fill out the application form on the official website of the institute. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech based on JEE Main score. Aspirants applying for BTech have to fill JEECE counselling form. Once the registration is done, aspirants need to appear for JEECE Counselling. GATE score is considered for admission to M.Tech programme. Aspirants applying for M.Tech can also appear for the entrance exam conducted by the institute. BIT conducts a written test for PhD admission.

The Career Development Centre (CDC) at BIT Sindri sharpens students' interest and helps in planning for a satisfying future. Several Career Assessments such as - Interpretation of career and psychometric assessments tools such as DAT, Strong Interest Inventory, etc. are carried out as part of career counselling. Career Counseling programs consist of Group Counseling, Personal Counseling and Drop-In Advising. Moreover, webinars, mock interviews, Mock GDs, resume preparation are conducted as part of training programs.
BIT Sindri offers BTech, MTech and PhD courses across 15 departments such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, etc. Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for UG courses. Graduation is necessary to apply for PG courses. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on specified entrance exam score.
During the JEECE application process, the candidates will have to pay the required application fee. For the General/EWS/BC-1/BC-2 category candidates, the JEECE application fee is INR 500. However, for SC/ST/Female candidates of all categories, the application fee is INR 250. Candidates will have to pay the application fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of application will be accepted.

The minimum eligibility is 50% in 12th or equivalent standard and JEECE rank.
But the seats are limited and the candidates with High rank will have the better chance to get it.
The safe side would be a rank of 1L or less in JEE Main or they can attend the JEECE the state entrance exam of Jharkhand for Engineering. The percentile needed in JEECE are not mentioned.

The main thing that matters the most here is the rank. If you have a good rank then of course you can.
Eligibility:
The minimum eligibility is 50% in 12th and JEECE rank or JEE Main rank.
Cutoff:
Cutoff in BIT Sindri is quite competitive, and it gets more competitive with time. Last year the maximum rank which they accepted was 181000 wherein previous year of that maximum was 185000.
Recommendation: The safer side will be 1lakh or less rank in JEE Main. If you got that congratulations but if you didn't get it still try to contact and talk to them. If they have extra seat in any quota then they can manage.

BIT Sindri offers lateral entry in the BTech programme to Diploma holders in Engineering and Technology streams. As I researched, yet not possible.unlikely that you will get admission to BIT Sindri with a 50.5 percentile in JEE Main, especially if you are aiming for popular branches like Computer Science. While your OBC NCL category and Jharkhand domicile may offer some advantage, the competition for seats at
