College is living up to its reputation with great faculty and an amazing student crowd.
Placements: Around 85% students got placed in my batch, and the highest package was about 45 LPA. Most recruiters were from Nvidia, Nutanix, DE Shaw, etc. The lowest package was about 4-5 LPA. Internships were available in the 3rd year and included companies such as BY Menon, Microsoft, and Accenture. Top roles were SDE or analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is based on the old architecture of the college, but the labs and classrooms are newly developed and are well-equipped. Wi-Fi speed fluctuates, but is decent. The library may seem a bit old. The mess is average, and sometimes, on special occasions, a different menu is opted for. Overall, extracurricular activities are taken care of.
Faculty: Teachers are highly compatible and are Ph.D. holders with great knowledge. They are very helpful, and the quality of teaching is good. Curriculum is unique due to the autonomous nature of the college, and its syllabus produces industry-ready individuals. Semester exams are not difficult, but need revision and practice at least 3 weeks before the exam. Pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose this college due to its mindblowing fests and amazing peer crowd. All of them are immensely talented and supportive. Being in the heart of Pune, the college is also well connected with other happening activities in the city.

COEP: The dream college of every student.
Placements: Placements in the College of Engineering, Pune are very good as compared to the other colleges. Many top companies visit the college campus for recruitment every year. All top companies visit here for placements. Internships are very good in college. Nearly everyone gets internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is a bit of an issue here. Often, there are connectivity problems. The infrastructure is good in the college. There are well-equipped libraries in the college with thousands of quality, useful books, which is good. Mess food is also okay, but in comparison with other colleges, it is very good. Sports facilities are also very good as the college is represented in every sports competition.
Faculty: Good faculty members are in the college. The teachers here are very knowledgeable and are always ready to help if approached. Teachers are helpful. The course pattern is mostly industry-oriented. The exams are tough and sometimes even difficult, but with regular studies, you can crack exams.
Other: The college has its own reputation. The college is very good in all aspects. Events and fests are very good. There are frequently organized events which are very good for the college.

Decent and nice campus life, enjoy life in college.
Placements: 40%-45% of students from my branch got placed this year. The highest package is 19 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 5.61 LPA. Caterpillar is the top recruiting company for the course. 50% of students got internships in many different companies. Roles offered are assistant engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the department are good, like the labs are well-maintained, the classrooms are decent, and the Wi-Fi quality is good in specific areas only. The hostel is not that good, and the capacity is not for everyone. Mess is decent, and the cafeteria is a good option.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful in every aspect, and all are very much qualified, and all are Ph.D. holders and full of knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant for the course and makes them industry-ready, but some subjects are an extra. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but if you study nicely, then they're not that hard, and the passing percentage is 35%-40%.

Not satisfied with the way placements are hyped by other people, as we know the reality.
Placements: In the year 2024-25, the average package offered is 6 LPA, which is pretty low for any student getting placed. 61% of students got placed this year. The highest package offered is 18 LPA by Oracle. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel and Bosch. 70% of students get internships in companies like JSW, and many get research internships at IITs. Roles like quality assurance engineers, etc., are offered here.
Infrastructure: Our college provides plenty of facilities. As we all know, in government colleges, most of the time, Wi-Fi is low. We can get most of the books from the library, but the seating space might be limited. It has a canteen and mess facilities, which are good and cost-friendly. It also has medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Just the teaching quality is quite good. We are getting relevant courses, but less company interaction leads to poor quality of engineering. End-semester exams are pretty difficult, and 70-80% of students pass exams.
Other: Plenty of events are organised. It also conducts crazy extracurricular activities.

Satisfied overall because of good college infrastructure, placements, understanding seniors, etc.
Placements: Almost 77% of students in metallurgy branch got placed last year. The highest package is around 25 LPA and the average salary is 8 LPA. Core industries like steel companies, mining, etc., are strongly approaching metallurgy students. Some students have chosen non-core roles too and some went for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Recently new meta building is built. So its more spacious now. Library, classrooms, and labs are of course on top notch. The labs and lab assistant teachers are also good. Real issue is with Wi-Fi. In most of campus area, there are a lot of network as well as Wi-Fi issues. About hostel, its not less than home. Mess food is a little messed up. But its better than other colleges' mess. There are two canteens in the college. The meta canteen is good. But both canteens are a bit suffocating.
Faculty: Teachers are good. But the distribution of teachers is not good. In my case mechanical branch got most perfect teachers compared to us for the same subject. And for us we have teachers who don't teach that well and also who don't give proper marks in exams too. So, it badly affects our overall CGPA. Exams a good and strict too. About curriculum, we have a lot of clubs around 50, and gathering, impression, mindspark, etc. Some clubs are really good for career growth like robotics, aerospace, etc.
Other: There are a lot of scholarships you'll get in college. Most people don't even need to spend a penny in their pockets for fees.

College with high reputation but at present time the name is not justified by current placements.
Placements: As there is an overall downfall in job placements in the industry due to the fear of AI, there is a decline in placements. If you have better CV and a high CGPA you could get an average package of 12 LPA. Some of the companies that have visited this year are Bajaj, Nvidia, TRX, etc.
Infrastructure: College hostel is affordable but not livable. There are 4 people in one room, and there are common washrooms and bathrooms so hygiene is very low. Mess has both veg and non-veg with no different kitchen so for veg people it is a very big problem. Regarding the course, the NEP has been applied to the course so it is very difficult to tell how the course is.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are the best in their areas but some are the worst. They just come and go. They don't bother about how much the students understand. Exams are taken in a strict environment so there are no chances of cheating. Curriculum is properly planned.

With a 54 percentile in MHT CET, you do have a decent chance of getting Biotechnology at colleges like SCOE Pune, where last year's cutoff was around 53.8%. While you won't get top colleges like COEP, mid-tier institutes in Pune that offer Biotech are within reach. Just make sure to apply early in C
