Journey of college life in Daulat Ram College.
Placements: The college provides good placement to B. Com Hons and Economics Hons students, about 7 to 53 LPA depending on the resume and interview. Deloitte is the one who hires the most. I don't know much about the roles, but I heard they offer good roles only. From my course, barely 2–3 people got internships, as it's not common in my course.
Infrastructure: The Department of Botany is quite well-equipped and has smart classrooms with all the facilities like Wi-Fi and libraries. The hostel is good, and the food is quite well-known across DU. The canteen is also good, quite affordable, has a good medical room, a huge sports complex, a well-equipped gym, and all kinds of indoor games.
Faculty: The faculty is very good, well-qualified, and provides notes. The education here is good. The teachers are friendly. Though the curriculum is huge, the teachers manage to complete the whole syllabus in time. The toughness of semester exams depends on the paper; almost everyone passes except for 1–2 students.
Other: I wanted to go for research and development, that's why I chose this subject. I hope the college fees get a little reduced, as compared to other colleges, the fees of DRC is quite high. The fest is really good and is one of the biggest fests among all the girls’ colleges. Privileged and meritorious students get scholarships and have good extracurricular activities on Saturdays.

The best 3 years of my life - My college days.
Placements: Botany honors at University of Delhi is one of the most prestigious courses. In our course, we have 40 students and the girls-boys ratio is more inclined towards girls. I chose this course out of my interest. To be honest this course doesn't offer any placements on the campus. One can easily get placement in a good agro-based company by his/her knowledge.
Infrastructure: Our college has a beautiful botany garden with all medical plants and one can come and learn the traits of each plant including their scientific names by scanning the bar code pasted on each plant. Hostel is quite good with good infrastructure and mess but number of seats is quite low.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. They guide us not only regarding academics but also in personal life and careers. It is a 3-year course with 6 semesters. Before every exam teachers will guide and prepare us. If a student is sincere then by doing not much effort, one can easily get a 9 CGPA score.
Other: I chose this course because of my great interest in plants and their life. The best thing about the course is while studying it relaxes my mind and I enjoy learning it. I like to do a lot of research in the future and it enhances my curiosity. Our college lies at the heart of North DU and is well connected to the market department of science and all those necessary areas. One can apply for eligible scholarships. A lot of scholarships are availed for students in every year.

Very good college to develop personality.
Placements: Placements at this college are quite good, with many large companies, including HDFC, participating in recruitment. Last year, 60% to 70% of students were placed. Students with a science background also have opportunities for placement in the research field, depending on their course of study.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and departments are all very well-equipped. Each room has functional AC, Wi-Fi, and projectors, which makes it easier to learn and present concepts. The hostel is also very nice, with all the essential facilities, and the food is great.
Faculty: The faculty in our course are very generous and supportive to students in every way. They are experienced, and their teaching qualities are very good. The curriculum of our course is very advanced. The exams were a bit difficult, but the passing percentage is 90% to 95%.
Other: I chose botany because I have a strong interest in nature, and botany is the subject that is most relevant to it. I am very satisfied with my course and the faculty. As a research student, I need the lab to be more advanced and have a good space for doing research. The college hosts many events, including an annual fest and departmental fests. The various societies also hold their own cultural fests each year, which are a lot of fun. In addition, there are many inter-college competitions, challenges, and activities that make college life much more interesting and enjoyable.

Bad infrastructure but Great Academics.
Placements: Most of the students don't sit for placements. Only the B.Com. (Hons.) and Econ. students sit for the placements. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest must be somewhere around 4 LPA, and the mean is 5 LPA. The big 4 visit our campus since its on the north campus, but they pick mostly from better colleges like SRCCC. As for internships, there aren't any opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is something they should work on. They are constructing a new building without preparing the old one. The washrooms are the worst, and they are not bothered at all. It's a girls college; they should worry about the health of the students.
Faculty: The academics are great, but rigorous as well. From an academic perspective, you'll get everything here. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are mostly based on PYQ's, and I think all the students pass.
Other: I think the science courses are more rigorous and hectic because we have practicals as well. If you are opting for a science course here, get ready to say bye to the hill, full of life college life.

Awesome college of North campus of Delhi University.
Placements: The college has its own placement cell 'Vriddhi'. Every year, the college offers placement for students of almost all departments from various renowned companies. The highest package offered goes upto 10 Lacs per annum. The students of all departments appear for the placements in their final year and the placement percentage of college goes as high as 90%.
Infrastructure: The Botany Department has all the latest instruments required for the experimental studies. All the labs and the lecture theater are fully air conditioned and have proper ventilation and lights. Talking about the hostel, the hostel of DRC is regarded as one of the best hostels Delhi University and is now even more better after renovation. The hostel has big rooms with proper lighting and ventilation and mess offers good food. The security of hostel is very high and proper medical room is there for any emergency with the students.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and have an experience of more than 15+ years. They all are passionate for teaching and use advanced methodologies for teaching. All the topics of each and every paper are taught according to the latest syllabus and curriculum. Earlier CBCS system was present, but now syllabus is taught according to NEP.

Our college gives an enjoyable college life.
Placements: Placements are not provided for science courses. Our college has great exposure because of the diversity of students. Placement cell works hard to collaborate with big companies, but chances of landing jobs are very low. Mostly physics or mathematics students get placed.
Infrastructure: Our college building is old and its arena is small but it lies at the heart of the north campus making it a little desirable. The front lawn Gazebo is known for its beauty and is the main attraction of our college. Rangshala is an amphitheater.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are less supportive. The administration is very not cooperative with societies, students, and extracurricular activities. The principal is very arrogant and never understands students. Teachers focus more on making assignments, files, and homework rather than real learning and career-making.
Other: Diwali Mela which is Jalsa is very well organised in our college and an annual fest Manjari is a major eye-catcher. A few celebrities like Maninder Bhutter and Mankirat Aulakh take part in the fest.

I am satisfied because of me being a part of theatre society having the best three years of my life.
Placements: The placement cell of our college is very good. But being a science student, the placements in our field are very less. However, it tries to offer as many as it can. The salary packages offered ranges from 3-5 LPA. Roles offered are analysis, marketing, customer service, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very bad. The ceiling, classrooms, everything is in a very poor condition. Last year, the ceiling of the classroom broke over one of the student's head. There are strikes daily by teachers, students or non-teaching staff. Cultural activities are not supported in our college.
Faculty: Teachers, according to the degree, they are highly qualified, but they don't support students. They are not very much interested in teaching, rather believe in just coming and going. Our department altogether didn't support me as I being the part of theatre society which is not good for a science student as per them.
Other: I have chosen this course just to study at DU, North Campus.

The college is good enough but could be better.
Placements: Placements in our college were pathetic. For some courses, they were not apt. Students got placed in other fields but not related to their field. I don't have any idea about the placements of other courses. Companies like Wipro and Ernst & Young visited our campus for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good enough, considering it is a recent building as compared to others. The building is compact and not that large enough. As our course related to science, we had lecture theatres which were equipped with smart teaching technology. So were the laboratories. Cleanliness and maintenance were very well. But classrooms for other courses were small, and students get congested.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were highly qualified and taught extremely well. Most of the teachers were above 30 years old. Even senior teachers were mostly above 45 years and were proficient in their respective subjects. Overall, teachers always willing to help students. Teachers were helpful and professional.
Other: The college fest organised here was average. The campus crowd is not that good. There were many societies for extracurricular activities. Overall, it was a good memorable experience.
