Top college for sciences and social sciences.

Placements: Placements depend on the course you have chosen. As for biochemistry, there are no on-campus placement interviews conducted. Students usually give entrance exams such as GATE, IIT, and JAM. Some students pursue an MBA after it as well. Internships will boost the chances for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fairly developed comprising 4 main buildings. The lab facilities are adequate with helpful lab staff. The library is one the best. The university has to offer books ranging from finance to classic literature. There is a canteen and a cafe. They offer food at a minimal price. However, it does not provide hostel accommodation.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified from esteemed institutions and offer practical application of the theory. There are regular assignments, presentations, and tests conducted. The course curriculum aligns with industrial standards. Semester exams are manageable so that students can cover topics. We have to get thorough with the previous year's questions.

Other: There are various active societies where students can participate and gain exposure. There is financial assistance. The main fest is conducted yearly.

Deshbandhu College, this place made me better person overall.

Placements: The course that is Biochemistry honors is not a professional course like B. tech. It doesn't offer any direct job opportunities because you did this course. The course itself is very descriptive and most people pursue their masters after this, a small portion of the students go for government jobs (graduate level) and some even for private jobs (unrelated to the field).

Infrastructure: The college provided good classrooms and one laboratory for practical classes. Our department was on the 2nd floor, there was lift facility but the stairs were nice and the college also provided "ramp" access for specially abled people. The college had separate wifi routers for each floor and it had internet access most of the days but the speed was just okay. Our library was one of the best part of our college, it was full AC, had separate reading rooms, wifi access, and availability to almost all the textbooks we needed. We had one canteen and a cafeteria, canteen offered variety of food options, and cafeteria was for little snack breaks and just to hang out and eat near the greenery.

Faculty: Our faculty was more than qualified and very professionally trained for the curriculum. They were very knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields. They implemented interesting and catchy study strategies and always took care of us in all the aspects. They were kind and humble, and were willing to help in both the academic and co-curricular aspects of college life. The course doesn't really make you ready for industry, it makes you capable for entering a masters atleast after that you can either enter some industries or continue with your PHD.

Deshbandhu College Review.

Placements: The placements of the college are quite good. Around 60% of the students get placed from the batch every year. The placement cell is active. As science students generally opt for masters further, placements are mostly taken up by commerce students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, with a new science block built recently. The lab, classroom, and hall infrastructure are very good and developed, with proper facilities. We do not have hostels in our college, so students have to look for accommodation outside the college campus.

Faculty: The curriculum for the course is very diverse; each semester, new subjects are taught, and the faculty is very experienced in their own subjects. Proper presentations and references are given to study for tests and exams. Exams are quite easy and are taken in subjective mode.

Brief review of Deshbandhu college.

Placements: Most of the students—98% of them—go for higher education. But you can get placed if you want in various firms. In terms of salary, it can go around 3 to 8 lacs per annum. Top recruiters are companies like Dr. Reddy Laboratory and Cipla Biotechnology.

Infrastructure: Very good as compared to other DU colleges. It has good connectivity in terms of Wi-Fi, classrooms, labs, and all the equipment needed. The library ranks amongst the top in DU and has various book from various fields. There is no hostel conveniently provided but you'll get PGs nearby at an affordable price. It has a very good volleyball and badminton court, as well as indoor courts for some sports and good cricket nets.

Faculty: Faculty is very helpful, as Biochemistry has only 37 seats to offer, and everyone gets full attention from the professor. This course is for 3 years but after the introduction of NEP, i.e., New Education Policy, you can opt for a third year as well. If you complete your degree after 4 years, you'll have done a lot of research.

Other: I chose this course because of its high demand in the near future. The best thing about this course is that you can work for mankind. Events (Sabrang) are organized by the student council and they are very good. Scholarships will be provided to ST, SC, and OBC students, as well as to students who have weaker economic backgrounds.

Literally one of the best experiences I have had.

Placements: I don think that for Biochemistry, the college offers placement because most of the students pursue higher studies after taking this course. However, there is a placement cell in the college, so students can join that to gain better insights about placements.

Infrastructure: There are separate buildings for science and commerce students. The classes and labs are quite good and spacious. It has one of the best libraries at Delhi University. The library is quite well organized and has books for all courses. The canteen is neat and offers most of the food items.

Faculty: All the teachers have more than 5 years of experience and hold PhDs. Teachers are very helpful and provide presentations and notes to support their teaching. The course is well organized semester-wise, which makes it easy to study. Most of the subjects are supported by practicals, so students get a better understanding of the theory.

Other: There are various societies in college like the art society, dance society, music society, etc. It is a fun college where extracurricular activities are equally valued as studies. There are various departmental fests from time to time that allow students to participate in various competitions. Overall, the college is really good.

In 2022, Deshbandhu College (like all DU affiliated colleges) adopted CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses. Deshbandhu College admission 2023 for UG courses (as per DU) will be through Common Seat Allocation System of the University of Delhi. But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit Deshbandhu College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here student must select their preferred course and college as the option.

Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists which will be out on August 1, August 10 and August 22, 2023, respectively for all categories.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the Deshbandhu College will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once Deshbandhu College accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.
