It is the best institution for studying earth sciences.

Placements: Indian Institute of Technology provided good placements in recent years. A lot of companies visit our college for placements. Students get very decent salary packages. Very reputed and MNCs also come here for placing the students.

Infrastructure: The college has a double sharing system. Hostels are well-maintained. The size of the room is good. The food served in a mess is bad. The institute has well-maintained sports playgrounds. It has a separate football ground, cricket playgrounds, and swimming pools.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified. Well-known personalities are teaching there. The R and D profile of this institute is very high and prestigious. Teachers are very helpful and are always eager to help us. Semester exams are average.

The college has good faculty and decent placements every year.

Placements: Placements for geophysics course are quite decent. Companies like Coal India Limited, ONGC, etc., come for campusing. This year, i.e., in 2019, 34 students were called for interview by ONGC (criteria was GPA>=8). Out of them, 7 students were selected with an annual salary package 19 LPA to 21 LPA. Most of the private companies also visited for placements.

Infrastructure: Classes are fully air-conditioned, and labs are also quite decent. The library is the best in terms of space and facilities, it is fully air-conditioned, but if we talk about book availability, it is not as good as expected. The hostel is good, but the quality of food served is horrible.

Faculty: The department is full of well-qualified and experienced as well as some horrible professors. Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. We can go to their cabin whenever we have doubt. Some teachers like Salivahan are best in delivering lectures. Most of the classes are conducted through a powerpoint presentation. The course curriculum is designed as per students' interest. Student can choose elective course accordingly.

Other: I chose M.Sc Tech in applied geophysics because it is a technical course. After pursuing this course, most of the students go for ONGC and other petroleum companies. Few go for research. This course is very good for getting a good job, and the competition is also less.

I am satisfied with the faculty members and placements. The best college to study geophysics.

Placements: Placements for the students of our batch and senior batch were quite satisfactory. Almost 50% of the students from our batch were placed. They got placed in companies like Schlumber, Cairn India, ONGC, Oil India, IOCL and Coal India. The average salary package offered was 12 LPA to 14 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good. Hostel facilities were very nice. The whole campus was Wi-Fi enabled. The college also has a well-equipped computer lab and library. Medical facilities were also very nice. Our college has two big playgrounds, swimming pools, badminton court and volleyball court, etc.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were very experienced and knowledgeable. Few teachers also had industrial experience. Every year, only 40 to 50 students were selected for this course. Our department had only 10 to 12 faculty members. Industrial and field exposures were also part of the curriculum. We went to Jharia in our first year, and we went to Jagoda in our second year. For industrial exposure, some of our batchmates went to Ongc Mumbai and oil India etc.

Other: Our college also provides scholarships. They organise extracurricular activities like Basant fest and techno fest, etc.

Good facilities and enjoyable campus.

Placements: Geophysicist are offered mainly in oil exploration companies and mineral companies. This year almost 50% student of current batch got placed. This year companies like ONGC, COAL INDIA LIMITED, OIL INDIA, CAIRN INDIA has offered job to current batch. Almost each student got internship every year. Average 50000/ month stipend offered during internship. The placement shell is quite good.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this institute is not excellent but it is quite good. All type of facilities are present here. Health center is present within the campus. There is two ground for play and all types of Indore game is offered here. There is also societies for different activities. Hostel rooms are good and food offered here is healthy. Excellent quality of classroom and labs with AC and projector is present here.

Faculty: Geophysics mainly deal with different method of exploration of oil, natural gas and minerals. This is a 3 year course. Professors are very much helpful, and they are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Many Ph.D. scholars are working under every professor. Mainly they use projector to teach us in classroom, they are very friendly. The student to faculty ratio is 6:1.

Other: Many extracurricular activity has been offered here like drama, chess, band group. There is present all type of facilities to continue your passion. Many events and fest is held here like reunion fest 'basant', annual cultural fest 'Srijan', besides this many departmental conference and events are held here. Campus are beautifully organized. All kind of connectivity is available here. Needy students are offered many scholarship.

IIT ISM Dhanbad College Review.

Placements: A high percentage of placements are available in my course. The lowest and highest packages from top companies range from 3 LPA to 16 LPA. Top recruiting companies are interested in this course. The percentage of internships in this course is 80% in top companies like Wipro and Railways.

Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure compared to other colleges in the city. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. Our classrooms are very clean. The library has good books. We have clean washrooms. The hostel does not have good facilities. The food is the worst. Sports are good.

Faculty: The faculty is very qualified but not helpful. They do not provide the required knowledge to the students. The curriculum contains very old technologies, and the semester exams are not difficult. The situation is such that teachers do not cover the right portions and include different topics in the exams. The checking is not thorough, leading to difficulties for students during exams.
