A quick and honest review of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements in my college are kind of good for now, as here, placements are done by good companies. Average package remains nearly about 7-8 LPA, and the alumni network is very strong. Placements start here at the end of the third year or at the start of the fourth year for better opportunities. CSE course is the most major course that has given the best placement result in the past few years.
Infrastructure: College campus is a little bit small as mentioned online, but the classes are fully air-conditioned and furnished. There are also three to four canteens present on the campus in different locations inside the college, and food quality is okay, but you have to struggle with the quantity if you are with your friends.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and helpful in nature and help in solving doubts and give proper guidance when students need. All the teachers are well-qualified and have great teaching skills. Paper system and pattern are very good. There are two midterms in college, and the final end-of-term exams are done in other colleges so that student can feel the pressure and have a greater opportunity to explore and give their best.
Other: Here in our college, events are held in very small numbers, but the quality is unmatched by others, as our college societies provide us with such a great experience through the events held on our campus.

Good college with good placement and decent infrastructure.
Placements: Placement in my college is pretty good, especially for CSE. For the CSE batch in the previous year, almost all the students got placed, with the highest salary being offered 55 LPA and the lowest being 3 LPA. The average package for the CSE course is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Infosys, Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, etc. The only problem is that the college does not provide many opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: The college has pretty decent infrastructure. The campus size is not very big, but it is well-maintained. The college has very good labs and a library with proper Wi-Fi coverage. The systems in the computer lab are very high-end, as almost all the systems are equipped with i5 and i7 12+ gen CPUs. All the classrooms are equipped with AC, and the quality of food is decent.
Faculty: Teachers of the college are highly qualified. All the teachers have extensive knowledge, but the curriculum needs some changes. As technology is growing very fast, there should be subjects like AIML introduced in early semesters. Semester exams are not very tough, and the pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose CSE because it serves my best interest, a CSE graduate needs to learn continuously even after graduation. As I said earlier, the curriculum needs to be updated.

Downfall of MAIT (old MAIT vs new MAIT).
Placements: Placements were fine till 2022, but decreasing at an alarming rate because of a few cheating incidents also they are increasing the number of seats every year in college making it hard to get along the placements. Amazon blacklisted this college because students were cheating in placement exams. A few other small startups also did the same.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not at all good. Only 1 common ground for all types of sports, only 1 basketball ground. Each branch has a separate block but still you will feel that the college is relatively small and compact. There is only 1 hostel for college but it's expensive like rates are high up to Rs. 2,50,000 which makes it quite affordable.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and pretty qualified some of them are even from IITs but yes few teachers lack passion. Exams are easy to crack as you can easily get a 9 CGPA at 75 and above 40 marks for internals and 60 for externals. You can easily get 35 marks in internals.
Other: You can choose MAIT if you are not able to find good options. I would say it's best in IPU but as compared to JAC colleges it was bad. The number of seats in college in tech branches is increasing earlier there were 180 students in CSE and IT now there are over 700 students, comparing a batch of 2025 with 2022.

Faculty members are good. Placements are average. Infrastructure and facilities are decent.
Placements: Top course in my college is B.Tech in computer science. Placements in computer science branch are good. If you see the best college of CSE branch at high rank, this college is better for you. Many companies are recruiting many students from college. Top course is CSE.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my college is decent not much good. Classrooms are good. Wi-Fi is also available in labs and library. Hostel quality is also good. There are 4 canteens in college also. Medical support is there. Sports like football, badminton, kabaddi, tennis, and many games are available.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are good. I am in the first year, 90% faculty members are very good in behaviour like friends. Semester exams are moderate. If you study you can easily crack the semester exam. Pass percentage of my college is 40% above. This is very easy.
Other: All are good here.

Good college if your JEE Main score is not up to the mark.
Placements: About 70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered this year is 56 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA-7 LPA. Top recruiters are ZS Associate, Atlassian, Accenture, etc. Most students try for off-campus internships and placements since they get a better salary package and have higher chances of getting a PPO.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are average neither poor nor great. Labs, classrooms, and library are just fine. Sports facilities are slightly less than average. There is only boys hostel in our college which I think is overpriced keeping in mind facilities being provided.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and quite qualified. They are helpful too. The teaching quality is good. The teaching quality is good. We won't feel that the professors would not help us mould our brains. Course curriculum is same as that of other college including IIT and NIT.
Other: There are no fests conducted in our college. They conduct a fest in the main campus as Anugoonj.

As a pass-out CSE student from LPU, I would suggest LPU is best for CSE. Lovely Professional University is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. The number of admissions in the CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants.

You can go for IPU where the college fee is also nominal. You can go for best colleges of IPU like MAIT, BVP which costs INR 1 Lacs/annum, there are some govt colleges in IPU also like GB Pant where the fee is around INR 40,000/annum and they are even good too.

No, Google and Mircosoft don't come on campus, but you will get opportunities to get enrolled in them. 3 students from the 2016 batch got placed in Mircosoft with a package of INR 43 Lacs/annum and many students did internships from Google, Mircosoft, ISRO, etc.

See, if you are in this college then both the branches is the best but if you also want to select one then I would suggest you opt for CSE as this is the only branch that doesn't see the college, but it sees the skills in the student.
