Why should I take IT at GGSIPU?

Placements: The course in which I am studying is information technology. It is one of the top courses at this college. The placement of our course this year was not that much promising but it was overall average. The highest package is 24 lpa, and the average package is 8 lpa. Companies which visited are Rapid, Grapdecity, Tata1mg, etc. At least 80% of the students got placed in my course.

Infrastructure: The classes are well air-conditioned and spaced. All the blocks have labs with well-maintained equipment. The library is also air-conditioned and has more than 2000 books with a Wi-Fi system. The hostel facilities are also good; rooms are equipped with a table, chair, bed and almirah. The mess quality is also good; there are 3–4 canteens on campus, along with a grocery shop. The sports facility is especially good. Our campus has a badminton court, TT court, cricket, badminton, football, and volleyball courts.

Faculty: The teachers here are well educated, with either a M.Tech. or Ph.D. The professors are very cooperative and guide you in the lab as well as in the classroom. The teaching quality in government. Colleges are not as good as you know. The semester exams are not that tough; you just have to study well. But the frequency of exams is very rigorous. The pass percentage is approximately 99%.

Other: I chose this branch because I had a keen interest in coding and I was not getting NSUT or DTU. I wish the placement of my course would have been better in college. The cultural fest here is Anugoonj, which is held every year in February–March and is filled with grandeur and celebrations. Last time, Armaan Mallick came to our fest. There is also a tech fest called Infoexpression.

Placements: Almost 90 percent of students got placed in companies through campus placement. The highest package offered before the recession was above INR 4000000, approximately, it was INR 4500000 and after recession it has been reduced to INR 300000 but is still running. The average package offered before the recession was approximately INR 1300000 but after the recession it has been up to INR 700000 and the lowest package was from the mass recruiters, it was near INR 5-6 lpa approximately. Our top recruiters on campus were Amazon etc. Once, some students got offers from Adobe as well. For internships, every student has an offer, but almost every student tries off campus for a better offer. Roles offered were Software Development Engineer in Amazon.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent, all the auditoriums are fully air-conditioned, and even the library is also air-conditioned. Internet access is available in all the labs, and we are planning to open them. Classrooms are also the best. Some classrooms have powerful split AC, and even in a single room, three AC units were installed. The quality of the food is much better than any college I have heard about. There is a food problem in some colleges, but there is no such thing as quality. Quality is best, at least in terms of food. The food in the canteen isn't great, but it's adequate.

Faculty: Almost all teachers are very helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. There were some teachers who were very strict, but there were also others. Older teachers are strict, but their knowledge is the best. The curriculum is the best now days as in 2021 our syllabus got updated, thank god! Now the subjects that are very important are taught in 2nd-year computer subjects, etc. So that we can practise and revise them, and in the third year they taught us the newly developed technologies, etc.

Other: I wanted to opt for the best college and the best stream, so it was the one where I was getting IT, plus it was government and located in Delhi, so that's why I chose it. Everything is best, just the placement increases. We have many clubs.

Great campus good crowd nice location .

Placements: More than 90% of the students get placed and if I will talk about the highest package so it was 44 lakhs offered by Adobe which is one of the top recruiters along with it Amazon, tata 1 mg, rapid, Adobe, etc. All these companies come for placement.

Infrastructure: Library is very decent as there are adequate number of books available as well it is fully air conditioned. Labs are filled with sufficient equipment. Canteen is also there in the campus which offers food in affordable prices for the students and sports facilities are decent.

Faculty: Teachers are sort of helpful. Course curriculum is designed in such a way that a person gets to know lot about the specific field as well as other subjects as well like eco and accounts in IT branch as well. Semester exams are bit conceptual .

Other: I am interested in this field of technology that's why I opted for this and recently technical fest was organised where a footfall of around 10000 people were a part of this.

The college is worth it for B.Tech.

Placements: The placement percentage is around 95%. The highest package offered is 42 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Amazon etc. The internships are not good in our college, as only students have to try to get internships on their own.

Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are average, but the infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is not working currently on campus and also in the hostels. The classrooms are good. The food facilities are good in the mess for hostelers. Medical facilities are available. The college doesn't encourage sports much.

Faculty: Some teachers are good, and some are bad. They are well qualified but not interested in teaching in a better way to students. They have proper knowledge of their subjects. The first-year syllabus is not much useful from the industry point of view. If students study well, they can clear the semester exams easily. The pass percentage is good.

Other: I chose B.Tech in IT because it is a growing sector of our world. The best thing about my course is it is oriented toward technology. I would suggest that they have to publish all the notice some days prior. Events are bad, and the main fest of our college is good. Connectivity is good. Scholarships are available.

It has a good campus and education.

Placements: Almost 100% of students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon visit our college to hire students from our course. There are also mass recruiters like HCL, Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, and Grab.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure and good facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available all over the campus, especially in the zones having jammers. Classrooms are spacious and have air ventilation. There are many libraries full of all kinds of books that the students need. It provides good medical facilities. All kinds of sport courts are available here. The food served in the canteen is good.

Faculty: Teachers are great in our college. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Students can also join other colleges under the university. Semester exams are both difficult as well as easy. The minimum pass percentage is 40% in all the colleges under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
