BITS HD 2026 application form OUT: The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani has started BITS HD registration 2026 on February 18. Candidates who want to apply for BITS Higher Degree exam must submit their form before due date. The BITS HD application form 2026 last date is April 20. Candidates with 60% marks in B.E/BTech qualifying exam are eligible for the computer-based test. Candidates can find direct link below to apply.
In addition, GATE exam /GPAT-qualified candidates are also eligible for BITS HD exam. Selection will be based on the scores secured in their respective entrance test. This year, the authorities have increased the fee for BITS HD registration 2026 for students applying for BITS HD exam or both.
The BITS HD 2026 exam fee is INR 1000/- (for those who wish to apply through GATE/GPAT) and INR 3600/- (for others). BITS HD Application Form 2026 – Important Guidelines
- Candidates can apply online from the BITS HD official website
- Only one application form will be accepted for admission to ME/MTech programmes.
- Admission to ME in software systems will be based on BITS HD scores
- GATE scores of 2026, 2025, and 2024 will be accepted for admission.
- For GPAT, scores of 2026, 2025, and 2024 will be accepted for admission.
- Students admitted through BITS HD/ GATE/GPAT will receive a stipend amount of INR 13, 400/- per month.
- All students who will receive fee waiver or stipend will have to contribute to graduate student teaching assistantship of 8 to 10 hours per week. It will be as per the institute norms.

Yes, it is compulsory to fill BITS HD application even if you have GPAT or GATE score. At the time of filling form, candidates need to mention the medium from which they want to apply for. Registrations are open till April 20, 2026.

No, candidates are not required to attempt BITS HD exam if they have a valid GATE or GPAT score. All they have to do is complete the registrations and provide their score or scorecard. The iteration result will be released on the website based on the GATE or GPAT score on the scheduled dates.
No, the exam authority will not allow candidates to fill the BITS HD application form in offline mode. BITS HD application form is available in online mode only. Candidates can fill BITS HD application form at bitsadmission.com. After filling the form, applicants are not required to send the hardcopy of filled BITS HD application form to the authorities.

Candidates who have registered for the exam will be able to admit card. The BITS HD 2026 admit card release date is 21 May 2026. While filling BITS HD 2026 application form, students can choose at least three options for BITS HD exam centre, and will be allotted one. Students will be informed for test city allottment on the official website. The BITS HD admit card will be made available from the date of release till the exam date. To download admit card, candidates need to provide their credentials - registration number, date of birth, and password.

- While reporting at the centre, students must carry their admit card along with a valid ID proof
- They can also carry a calculator without any network/programmable feature.
- Anyone violating the rules will be disqualified
