AP PGECET MPharma 2021: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

AP PGECET is the abbreviated form of the Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Candidates after qualifying for the exam are admitted to the Engineering / Pharmacy colleges and their affiliated colleges approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

AP PGECET 2024 Application Process

The AP-PGECET application form will be released online. Candidates will be able to apply for AP PGECET 2024 until the prescribed last date. The application process includes various stages, such as registration, filling out the application form, fee payment, uploading a photo and signature, and submission of the application form. Candidates have to fill out the application form with the correct details. The application form with incorrect details will be rejected. Further, the candidates have to check the eligibility criteria to fill out the AP PGECET application form 2024 below.

The AP PGECET 2024 facility for correcting a submitted application form will be available to candidates. However, once the due date is passed, no changes will be allowed. The candidates have to make the necessary corrections within the correction window. Only certain sections of the form, such as signature and photograph, qualifying examination details, place of study, year of passing, mother's name, place of birth, etc., can be edited. Candidates have to follow the instructions on how to make corrections on the official website of AP PGECET 2024. The correction process can only be done online.

AP PGECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for writing the test:

Candidates should meet the given below requirements to be able to write the exam:

• Candidates should be Indian nationals.
• They should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
• Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelors qualifying degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant ME/ MTech/ MPharma courses into the Courses corresponding to the Degrees.
• Candidates pursuing a BTech course or its equivalent/BPharm course will be eligible for admission to relevant ME/MTech/ MPharma courses only if they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of degree by the concerned university on the date of counselling for admission into the colleges.

Eligibility for admission to ME/ MTech/ MPharm:

• Candidates should have qualified AP PGECET and in the test paper relevant to the course they seek admission.
• Mere appearance does not entitle students to be considered for admission to their preferred course unless they satisfy the eligibility requirements and other related criteria.
• Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats will be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amen
• While filling seats in colleges, first preference will be given to aspirants who have qualified for GATE / GPAT based on their test scores. The remaining seats will be filled with candidates qualified in AP PGECET as per their merit ranks.

The syllabus incorporates important chapters and topics that are essential for the examination. Candidates must go through the complete details prior to starting their preparation. They should study all the topics in order to obtain good marks in the exam. The syllabus for AP PGECET 2024 will be released on the official website. Since the syllabus will be almost the same as in previous years, candidates can check the AP PGECET syllabus 2023 to start preparing for the exam.

The exam pattern imparts various details like total questions, marking scheme, exam duration, etc. Candidates seeking admission should be well aware of the exam pattern to understand the weightage of each section. 

The admit card will be issued to the eligible candidates for the exam. The AP PGECET admit card 2024 will be released online at the official website. Candidates have to enter the login details to download the admit card. The admit card is an important document, and candidates have to keep it safe until the admissions process is over. Without an admit card, no candidate can enter the exam hall.

The result will be announced a few days after the completion of the exam. The AP PGECET result 2024 will be released online, and candidates will be able to check it by using their login credentials. The result included various details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, marks obtained, rank secured, etc. The exam authority will not share the result via email or post. Post-examination, successful candidates will be called to participate in the counselling.

Qualifying Marks for AP PGECET

The qualifying percentage mark for obtaining a rank in APPGECET-2024 is 25%, i.e., 30 marks out of a total of 120. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates. 

The counselling process encompasses various stages like registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment and reporting. Eligible candidates will be able to exercise AP PGECET counselling 2024 in online mode. After the counselling, candidates have to report to the allotted college and pay the required fee to confirm their seats.
