GPAT cutoff 2025 was released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) along with the declaration of the result on June 25, 2025. Students can check the GPAT 2025 cutoff percentile on the official website at natboard.edu.in. The GPAT 2025 cutoff marks are determined by a variety of factors, including the number of candidates, seats available, the marking method, and the difficulty level. The exam conducting authorities released the GPAT cutoff marks category-wise.

According to the official website, the GPAT 2025 cutoff percentile for the UR category is 96.2390225, while the cutoff rank is 216 marks, and for other categories, it is given in the table below. According to the GPAT results, a total of 4,714 candidates are declared qualified for admission to Master of Pharmacy Courses/award of scholarship for M. Pharm Courses/PhD courses this year out of the total 47,140. The GPAT exam cutoff PDF is mentioned below.  

The GPAT cutoff enables the process for MPharma counselling, which is conducted on an individual basis by several institutes. 

The GPAT cut-off is the minimum score an applicant must achieve to pass the entrance exam. The cut-off marks set by the GPAT participating institutes are used to select candidates who are taking the exam.

The GPAT 2025 cutoff percentile has been released by authorties along with the declaration of the results. It is released by the authorities category wise. The GPAT cutoff is a minimum mark that a candidate should score for qualifying for the exam. GPAT cutoff is based on multiple factors such as availability of seats, the difficulty level of the exam, and the total number of candidates who appear and pass in the entrance exam. 

 

Q:   Will GPAT 2025 cutoff be higher than last year?

As compared to last year, the GPAT cutoff depends on the number of test-takers and difficulty level of the exam. Hence, the GPAT 2025 cutoff will be predictive of these two factors that will be known after the conclusion of the GPAT 2025 exam.

Last year, the GPAT exam was moderate difficult, it was found that GPAT cutoff was higher than last year.

NBEMS the official exam conducting body is the responsible authority to release the GPAT cutoff at the official website. The GPAT cutoff will also be released by the participating institutes that accept GPAT scores. NBEMS doesn't conduct the counselling for M.Pharma admissions. It will be responsible for releasing the merit list of GPAT 2025 along with the result mentioning the status of qualifying, name of candidates. Once the GPAT cutoff is announced by individual colleges/institutes, candidates can check the cutoff score on their individual websites to seek admission in the preferred course and college.

The GPAT 2025 cutoff is likely to be around 160, based on last year's data.

Last year, the GPAT cutoff was 148 (General category); 120 (OBC category); 94 (SC category); 75 (ST category); 122 (EWS category). Candidates who appeared for the GPAT exam are shortlisted based on the cut-off marks published by the participating institutes on their individual website. The cutoff will be released by NBEMS along with the result.

Q:   When is the GPAT result likely to be announced?
A: 

NBEMS declared the GPAT result on June 25, 2025. The authorities released the GPAT exam results in a PDF file. The GPAT 2025 scorecard will be released on the official website of the exam. The exam was conducted on May 25, 2025.

Candidates will have to log in to the GPAT 2025 website with their application number, date of birth and security pin and download the GPAT 2025 scorecard in PDF format.

Q:   What is a good score in GPAT?

A score above 140 is considered to be a good score in GPAT according to the GPAT cutoff score for General category candidates. However, this score varies depending upon the GPAT cutoff for the current year. In case the cutoff touches the mark of 180 then the score of 140 is irrelevant to seek admission in top M.Pharma colleges. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will be called for further counselling procedure at the participating institutes. Therefore, the cutoff score is the most important deciding factor to get a call for counselling from preferred institute.

As many as 50,508 candidates appeared for the GPAT exam last year. The GPAT exam is a national-level pharmacy entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission to M.Pharma MBA in Pharmacy, M.Tech in Pharmacy are required to appear for the GPAT exam. The GPAT exam score is mandatory and basic requirement to screen the students for admission by the top pharmacy colleges in India. The basic eligibility condition to get admission in the best pharmacy colleges is to appear for the GPAT entrance exam.

In general, GPAT cutoff is released with the result every year on the official webiste of NTA dedicated to the GPAT exam: GPAT. NTA. Nic. In. The GPAT cutoff marks for the previous year are: 148 for General category candidates, 120 for the OBC category, 94 for SC, 75 for ST, and 122 for EWS category candidates. At the time of counselling, candidates will have to carry all the required documents for the purpose of document verification.

Last year, GPAT cutoff was in a range of 148 for General category candidates, 120 for the OBC category, 94 for SC, 75 for ST, and 122 for EWS category candidates. However, this year's GPAT cutoff will depend on several factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, and the total number of candidates who appear and pass in the entrance exam and the seat availability with the institute. Candidates will be able to secure admission on first come first serve basis. If the number of GPAT applicants increases, competition would also get tougher, and the cutoff will soar higher.

NTA has released the official statistics of the candidates who filled the GPAT application form. According to NTA, as many as 68,439 candidates registered for the exam and 62,275 candidates appeared for the exam. GPAT 2023 was conducted in 116 cities in 221 centres in a computer-based mode.  A total of 50,508 students appeared for the GPAT exam last year as per the official data shared by NTA.

GPAT 2024 Counselling

NBE will not conduct GPAT counselling. The counselling exercise will be held by the individual institutes for candidates who have qualified in the GPAT cutoff rolled out by the NBE. Candidates who have been shortlisted on the merit list will be called for the GPAT counselling process by the institutes in which they have shown interest or filled out the counselling participation form. The GPAT merit will comprise the candidate’s roll number, rank, GPAT scores, and marks obtained in the entrance exam.

Candidates who qualify the GPAT cutoff score released by the colleges for various specialisations were eligible to participate in GPAT counselling process. The MPharma admissions will only be granted after the candidates participate in the counselling process. Top MPharma colleges conduct their counselling on individual basis. 

Q:   Who conducts the GPAT counselling for admission to MPharma courses?

The GPAT participating colleges and the GPAT accepting institutes conduct the GPAT counselling for students seeking admission to MPharma programme on individual basis. GPAT counselling is held on the basis of the cutoff scores released by NTA. Candidates have to register on individual basis of GPAT colleges to participate in the MPharma counselling. 

Q:   Will GPAT counselling be conducted in online mode or offline mode?
A: 

GPAT counselling was conducted at the designated institute, on a pre-assigned date and time in offline mode. Candidates had to reach the venue adhering to the time and date mentioned on the call letter. However, the counselling registration took place in online mode for maximum institutes.
