NIT Uttarakhand offers good placements for BTech courses. As per the latest report, the highest and average package offered to BTech students during NIT Uttarakhand placements in 2025 stood at INR 12.5 LPA and INR 8.03 LPA, respectively. The median package received in 2025 was INR 7 LPA. Further, 56 offers were made this year as well. 

Admission to BTech is based on JEE Main score followed by JoSAA/ CSAB Counselling.

The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech. 

So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

The BTech CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) programme, offered by the institute is very popular among the students due to its promising career prospects and excellent placement record. The BTech CSE programme offered by NIT Uttarakhand is a four-year programme, offered through the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The department's faculty members are mostly PhD holders from the reputed institutes of the country. INR 34 LPA was the highest package offered to a student during the 2022 placements, and the top recruiters included Adobe India, Algo Sec, Samsung SRI Noida, and Atlassian, among others.
