Netaji Subhas University of Technology BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) (Formerly known as NSIT) offers four-year full-time BTech courses under several specialisations. Admissions to NSUT BTech course is based on JEE-Main score/ rank, and the counselling process is done by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC) whose work is to ensure smooth and easy counselling and processes for admission in undergraduate courses at Delhi Government funded universities.
The eligibility requirements for admissions into BTech at NSUT are as follows:
- Students should complete their Class 12 from Science stream with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) Biology can be exception, and meet minimum percentage requirements (60% General, 55% OBC-NCL/ Defence, 50% SC/ ST/ PwD in PCM aggregate)
- There are diff, quotas, with Delhi students filling 85% of seats and Outside Delhi candidates filling 15%.

NSUT BTech admission dates 2026 has been released for the recent academic year. Students with valid scores in JEE Mains can apply for the course admissions. Also, the classes for the every academic year usually commences in the first week of August. Yes, candidates can apply for admission in the BTech programme at NSIT based on their JEE-Main score/ rank. Candidates having a valid score/ rank can register for the counselling process through Joint Admission Committee (JAC) Delhi official website.
The shortlisted candidates list will be released on JAC Delhi official website. Selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell of Netaji Subhas University Technology (NSUT) (Formerly known as NSIT) for document verification and fee payment.
Netaji Subhas University of Technology BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
NSUT BTech course admissions are based on the JEE Main entrance exam. The candidates are alloted seats during the JAC counseling which is done after the aforementioned entrance exam during the admisions. The NSUT BTech application process is conducted in online mode. The steps mentioned-below show the complete NSUT admission process:
Step 1: NSUT BTech Appliaction Process 2026:
Candidates to apply to their desired course, must first clear the course specific entrance exams.
1.1- Go the JEE-Main official website powered by NTA, i.e., (https-//jeemain.nta.nic.in/).
1.2- Enter the required details to register for the online application form and note down the system-generated application number.
1.3- Login through the system-generated application number and pre-created password.
1.4- Fill out the personal and academic details and your preference for examination cities.
1.4- Upload the scanned images of the academic certificates.
1.5- Upload the scanned images of the candidate photograph and signature.
1.6- Upload the scanned images category certificate and PwD certificate (if applicable).
1.7- After completing all the stages mentioned above, pay the requisite examination fee through Net Banking, Credit card, Debit card or UPI.
Documents required to fill JEE-Main application form-
While filling out the JEE-Main application form, students must keep certain documents to upload when needed. Here is the list of those documents which are required during the JEE-Main application form-
- HSC and SSC Marksheet
- Copy of the Caste Certificate (if required)
- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if required)
- Scanned images of the candidate’s photograph and signature, etc.

STEP 2: NSUT BTech Application Process 2026
Students wanting admission to NSUT BTech are required to apply via the JAC Delhi website. JAC registration is a two-step online process where students have to fill out the online application form and then make the payment of NSUT BTech application fees. Students should note that JAC Delhi allows additional registrations and changes in the course preference before every round.
STEP 3:Interview/ Counselling round
Shortlisted Candidates are called for the Interview and counselling rounds, based on their merit performance in the qualifying examination.
STEP 4: Fees Payment & Final Admission
Once document verification is done, candidates must pay the NSUT BTech admission fees. The total tuition fee for the course ranges from INR 4 lakh to INR 4.5 lakh.

You cannot get admissions into BTech CSE course at NSUT without JEE Mains scores. Because the JEE Mains scores are necessary for admissions to NSUT undergraduate engineering courses. Thus, one can only enroll in the programme if they have valid scores in the entrance examination.

With 98.28 percentile in JEE first attempt, you can get admission branches, such as ECE, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in DTU, NSUT, IITD, and NIT Delhi. Top branches, such as CSE are difficult to get in these top universities and institutes. The cutoff also depends on the student's category.
