Absolutely satisfied, not regretting a bit. Really good placement and learning.
Placements: Approximately 90% of eligible students with a CGPA of 6.5 or above got placed. Students who did not meet this requirement were not eligible for placements. The highest package was approximately 60 LPA, offered by Meesho. In the current internship cycle, 28 students, including me, have secured internships out of 130 eligible students, and the process is still ongoing. Students received internship offers from Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, AQR Capital, DE Shaw, Nvidia, and many more companies. The top roles offered are Software Development Engineer (SWE), Systems Engineer, and Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really great. We have great labs with really good computer systems and high-speed internet in both the hostels and classrooms. The hostel rooms are quite clean, and the mess food is average. Sports and gaming facilities are also available.
Faculty: Curriculum was updated in 2023, so it is recent and up to date. Professors are great. They focus more on helping students understand concepts rather than just scoring marks. Exams also focus on understanding and implementation rather than theory alone. Most exams are quite difficult and conceptually challenging. Professors are knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Other: College events are really good here. We do not just enjoy them. We also help organize them by joining committees. It is a great place to meet people and have a fun time. There are also many clubs to join.

Great campus, academics, overall college experience.
Placements: NIT Calicut does have good placement opportunities, with students getting placed in core as well as non-core companies. For Civil Engineering, recruitment and opportunities include companies in the construction, infrastructure, consulting, and engineering sectors, along with opportunities in IT and other fields.
Infrastructure: The college provides different buildings for different departments. It also has spacious rooms and provides Wi-Fi, projectors, and all the necessary facilities. The campus also provides gym access for those who need it and has a swimming pool. The campus also has a sports committee that students can join. There are coaches, and students are taken to sports competitions at other NITs.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable. They are qualified from IITs and are supportive. Curriculum provides a balanced theoretical and practical learning experience. Semester exams are moderately challenging. We also have assignments, seminars, webinars, & workshops. We need to achieve more credit points in order to pursue the degree. We collect them by attending seminars, webinars, and workshops. In terms of attendance, we need to maintain attendance above 80%, or else we will not be able to attend exams.
Other: NITC provides a good academic environment along with excellent opportunities for extracurricular activities, technical programs, and cultural activities.

My honest opinion about my college.
Placements: Placements have well-defined procedures. There is a big placement team that helps us prepare for placements better and grab a good job. A student who has studied decently throughout is guaranteed to get placed in a reputed company which provides the best profile to the selected candidates. Lots of companies visit the campus every year. The average package is 7 LPA. McKinsey, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, BNP Paribas, Lehman, and Google are top recruiters.
Infrastructure: My hostel is very good. There are nice facilities. The food is also very good according to the menu, food is provided, and it is hygienic.
Faculty: Most of the college faculty members are highly qualified professionals. The way of teaching varies from faculty to faculty. While some lectures are very interesting to hear, some are so boring that you may fall asleep in class. The teaching methods of most of the faculty members are highly traditional. They are very helpful and are always ready to clear our doubts whenever we ask. Good faculty with great knowledge always gives great freedom to students, provides a good atmosphere, and gives much time to improve communication skills. World tours and study tours are required, great opportunity. The course curriculum of this college is pretty good. The college focuses on structured learning activities which allow students to understand the concepts easily and hence help in their growth. The exam structure is divided into 2 semesters in the year. Mostly, the course that is covered in them includes all the in-depth information that can help students develop their skills. Exams are also scheduled wisely.

Not completely satisfied because of placements in core jobs, but overall, it is good.
Placements: Placement depends on the branch. In CSE, around 80% of students get placed. Nearly 60% of students get placed in other circuit branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Around 50–60% of students from other branches get placed. The average package is around 9 LPA. Majorly, software companies visit our campus. Some core companies like Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and BEL also visit for recruitment.
Infrastructure: When I was in my 2nd and 3rd year, my hostel was very good in terms of cleanliness and infrastructure. That building was newly constructed. The 4th-year hostels are average. The college is going to make some changes to these hostels. The 1st-year hostels are comparatively better now than ours were.
Faculty: Lectures in NITC are good. They provide valuable information. The exam questions are tough, and the invigilation is also strict. In our college, grading depends on the professor's interest. It can be absolute or relative, but mainly it is relative. The passing percentage is around 85%.

One of the best NITs ever.
Placements: Placements at NIT Calicut are good, especially for top branches. Around 75-85 percent of students got placed. Many reputed companies visit the campus and offer both placements and internships. Students with good CGPS and skills usually get good opportunities.
Infrastructure: The campus has excellent infrastructure with good classrooms, labs and Wi-Fi. Hostels are clean and have all the basic facilities required by students. The mess food is average but manageable for most students. Overall the campus is green, peaceful, and provides a great learning environment.
Faculty: Most faculty are qualified and helpful. Although teaching styles differ. The curriculum gives a good theoretical foundation but students should learn extra skills on their own. Semester exams are moderately difficult and require regular preparation. Students who attend classes and study consistently can pass without much trouble.
Other: NIT Calicut offers excellent value for the fees paid. The education quality, placement, and campus are worth the investment. Students also get opportunities through clubs. Overall, it is a good choice compared to many private colleges.

Review of NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: 90% of students are placed. The remaining students want to pursue higher studies. The highest package is 63 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Top recruitment is from Oracle, Myntra, and Meesho. Around 60% of students got internships from Oracle, Flipkart, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, and NHAI.
Infrastructure: We have a big library, which has five floors. Every study material is provided. Students can either take books to their rooms or study there. It is fully air-conditioned, which makes the environment very comfortable. We have many computer labs and several buildings for classrooms, which are very good for students. Our hostel, MHB2, is one of the best hostels with a very good Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and have immense talent in explaining concepts to students. Our course curriculum is similar to that of IIT Madras, which is why we are among the best. It makes students industry-ready. There is not much difference in learning quality, but semester exams are tough in NITC.
Other: I want to become a software engineer, so I pursued this course. Even leaving NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, and a few IITs. The best part is the malls and friendships. Every event feels like a big celebration, and big celebrities come for the fests.
