BTech Eligibility Criteria. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech programme at NIT are required to pass their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as mandatory subjects. Candidates are required to secure at least 75% and a decent JEE Main score ie. 95+ percentile for general or OBC students.
NIT Delhi BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
To apply for NIT Delhi Btech admission, students are required to apply via the JEE Main application form. The process of application for JEE Main 2025 is inclusive of three major steps, i.e registration, form filling & document upload followed by payment of NIT Delhi BTech application fees 2025. All these steps of NIT Delhi admission are as follows:
Step 1: NIT Delhi BTech Application Process 2025
Step 1.1: Open the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2025’ link.
Step 1.2: Fill out the registration form with the required information and click on the submit button.
Step 1.3: Fill out the detailed application form and upload scanned images and documents.

Step 2: JoSAA/ CSAB/ DASA Counselling
Candidates who qualify for the entrance exam and get good scores in the JEE Mains entrance exam must appear for counselling (JoSAA/ CSAB/ DASA). During the counselling process, select the NIT Delhi. Further, candidates are required to choose their preferred engineering branches during the choice-filling process.
Step 3: Selection Criteria & Release of Merit List
NIT Delhi release the cutoff or opening ranks for BTech courses. Further, candidates with equal and more than ranks/scores can participate in seat allotment.
Step 4: Seat Alottment Process
Seats are allocated to the students based on their scores/ ranks achieved in JEE Mains. In addition, the choice filling of BTech specialisation also plays an important role in the allocation of the seats.
Step 5: Document Verification and Physical Reporting in the College
Candidates are required to bring all the documents in original along with 1 set of self-attested documents (signed on every page) & all the forms along with the fee receipt for the institute balance fee payment (Other than JoSAA/CSAB-2025/DASA-2025 online payments). It is the responsibility of a candidate to produce all the requisite documents at the time of physical reporting. Any misinformation or forged document shall lead to the cancellation of the admission without any further notice.
Step 6: Admission Confirmation
After the conclusion of all the selection rounds, candidates who are shortlisted can submit the fee and confirm their admission to the relevant course at NIT Delhi.
