It is a good going college with good facilities, an environment, the best placements, and faculty.
Placements: The B.Arch program at NIT Raipur has shown strong placement performance for the last 3 years with an almost 90% placement rate. The highest package offered is 12 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA. Students should do a compulsory internship in their 7th semester which is provided by the college only and it is paid.
Infrastructure: The 100-acre campus includes a central library, sports facilities, modern computer labs, multiple hostels, cafes, and canteens. It has additional amenities like a bank, mess, ATM, gym, and convince stores ensuring comfort and facilities for students and teachers.
Faculty: Our college has experienced faculty members including Dr. Abir Bandhopadhyay as HOD of department of architecture. The course curriculum is based on a choice-based credit system (CBCS) with multiple subjects like building materials, structural systems, and design studios. Examinations are conducted semester-wise (10 semesters) both theory and practicals.
Other: The college life is good as it is a big campus with multiple fests like Ecklectika, music fest, dance fest, photography fest, and for the architecture department, there is a special fest named Archi Fest which is held for 3 days with very joyful events and competitions. Choosing B.Arch in NIT Raipur is no regret, as it offers placements and a good college life with the best faculty members and design experience. I am getting many opportunities by studying at this college as it offers many clubs for photography, dance, acting, motorsports, music, etc.

Our college is good, but it needs to improve a little in terms of providing exposure.
Placements: Campus placements are not available for architecture students so that you won't get jobs after passed out of college. But here we are taught to be our own boss and not to work under any boss. We are also taught to start our own business and practice.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like Wi-Fi facility, labs, studios, library, toilets, girls common room, computer lab, etc., are available. Only washrooms are a little disorganised. The infrastructure of our college is the same as the infrastructure of a government college, but the degree matters a lot. NIT Raipur comes under top 25 colleges in India.
Faculty: It's a tough course, and interest must be needed, and you should give priority towards dedication for the course. Many fun events and cultural events are conducted here. If you start enjoying the course, then it will provide you great success.
Other: The best thing about the course is that it provides chances to roam around the cities and countries for study purpose. It enables students to develop themselves overall, not just to gain marks but also the personality.

The college is nice, and the faculty is good. Go for it.
Placements: I'm in the batch of '29, so 1 year is completed here, and all I can say is that this college is good, but please rethink the course you are entering. From my experience, architecture is never about placements, but yes, after passing from here, you will have a very nice fame with you. So don't worry about that, just focus on the concept and all.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too good to be honest, but it's manageable. The classrooms are good for the architecture department. The hostels are there if you want to stay inside the college, which you should not, because too many restrictions are there. You can get PGs easily outside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is good and helpful. Sometimes, you will feel depressed because of the reviews on your sheet by teachers, but don't get too much affected. At last, they help you see the world differently. This course gives you a vision, you just have to cooperate with the faculty members sometimes.
Other: If you are coming for this course, tighten your trees because there is a lot of hard work in this course. You will feel useless at many points in this course. One thing, if you still feel that you can't do this anymore, quit it in the 1st year itself before it's too late. There is a lot to do, trust me. I don't even know I'm going to make it or not, but damn sure this course teaches you, like everything how to survive in bare minimum.

An excellent place to spend & gain 4-5 years of knowledge. Will definitely make your future bright.
Placements: Gives equal opportunity to each every student to grab their chances. Also allows for interviews in other colleges, which is very appreciable. Min package is 5 Lacs which is very good and handful. Many different qnd well known companies visit the campus for placement.
Infrastructure: As far as infrastructure is concerned the architecture department is very efficiently and aesthetically designed. Central courtyard makes the department lively and the department has one of the best auditorium of the college and posses their own well and good library.
Faculty: Very well and balanced faculty staff with lots of experience and knowledge. Course is very well specified and equqlly important. Faculty comprising of every subject and field of teaching. The faculty cares and guides the students a lot and have an eye on each every student.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: We don't get the placement offers here. There are chances that we can give the exams to get the placement in different companies. Only 2 of my senior students got placed in good companies, that too, by giving the exams. The placement is something that every college should provide.
Infrastructure: The classrooms or the studios aren't arranged well and sometimes, and the provided tables are of bad quality. The college has quite an interest in the sports. Different batches and branches compete with each other during the sports events. The library is well maintained with all kinds of necessary books easily available. The food is good in the canteen. The hostel rooms are good, but the in-time is 8 which is not good. In fact, about the hostel toilets, though they are being cleaned daily, it looks unhygienic.
Faculty: There are only four permanent faculty members in our department, and the rest are the temporary ones. All the faculty members in our department are knowledgeable, but not friendly at all. They do not consider our problems like theirs. We don't feel free to discuss our problems with the permanent faculty members. We can discuss our problems freely with some of the temporary faculty members. They are ready to help us in any of situation.
Other: The teachers are biased towards some students and thus they give the preference to those students. And, it becomes very difficult to communicate with the teachers for the rest of the students. The toilets in the architectural department are in very bad condition. In fact, the common rooms are used as stores as well.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty and a good placement record.
Placements: No placements at all for the department of architecture. It's the worst department in our college. 0% placement record for the department of architecture in NIT Raipur. My strong suggestion is to not join the department of architecture in NIT Raipur.
Infrastructure: Worst infrastructure with broken tables and old classroomS with no renovation, and a small workshop with limited tools which are sufficient for 5 people to work together. Studios are known for their functioning. The computer lab is also worst. Hostels are allotted to a few people only. The worst canteen in entire India can be found here.
Faculty: The faculty was not at all good except for 1 or 2. They also give marks on personal behavior basis, no recognition for talent. Marks were based on the personal behavior of students, only personal behavior(strongly mentioning). No insist exposure except for NASA students. Teaching methods were 10%. The course curriculum was poor and not useful. The student-faculty ratio was 20:1.
Other: Our college was very good and even the other departments were good except for the department of architecture. All because of the faculty. The faculty was very poor and their attitude towards the children was very rude.

NIT Hamirpur rankings are below:
- 30th (NIRF 2025 under the Architecture category).
- 35th (Architecture- NIRF 2025).
