The college doesn't provide a good way for internships and also, the branches like chemical and metallurgy have a very low placement ratio.

The worst college if your interest is in core branches.
Placements: If you check the college website for placement status, the numbers look impressive, but the reality was very different. They calculate the percentage only from students who were eligible, and most of the companies that visit were focused on diversity hiring, so they take only female candidates. Even if you were lucky enough to be eligible for a company, the offer that they provided is really bad. Then they inflate the figure by accounting for total offers instead of actual students placed. Most of these offers were in the 6-7 LPA range.
Infrastructure: The common access PC labs were not that good, however, some labs were really good, but you need some special permission for that. The library was quite good. Classrooms were good with smart LED screens. I was a day scholar, but the hostels were really small, they were hygienic, but really small, and the food was decent.
Faculty: The teachers were average, like every other college, not good enough. The course was also the same old pattern that is being used. It won't make you industry-ready, you need to do some ground work yourself through internships. The semester exams were slightly on the tougher side. The pass percentage is quite good, as if you do other stuff like assignments and quizzes, you would just pass easily.
Other: I personally chose his course to figure out what I want to do next in life. I had minimal interest in my course. I wish there were practical lessons also for the course that would make it more interesting and enjoyable to learn. We have two fests in a year, but the college crowd is boring, so you just need to be lucky to have fun.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: Top recruiting companies in our college are TCS and Infosys. The average and median packages are also decent with 10 LPA and the highest package is about 40LPA. The placement rate is about 80 percent and 504 students out of 775 registered students got placed in campus selection.
Infrastructure: It has been like 3 months since I got admission in NIT Srinagar and it has really been a very wonderful time. The campus is really beautiful with a lot of greenery and trees. The classrooms are also comfortable along with good professors and nice wardens. The overall environment of the campus along with students is also very refreshing.
Faculty: The faculty is very good with high knowledge and good teaching skills and they are also very friendly to ask doubts and to gain knowledge. The course curriculum is also relevant and they make students industry ready with good coding skills by conducting coding clubs and hackathons.

Really good infrastructure, a great view and a satisfying campus life await.
Placements: I'm in the ECE department, and it has a strong placement record with an average package of 10.75 LPA and the highest package of 36.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Tata Motors, etc. Many students go for an IT role rather than a core one, so no problem of placement here.
Infrastructure: NIT Srinagar has a well-equipped lab for every branch that includes both modern and developing facilities. Hostels are also good with Wi-Fi facilities and LAN connections in every room, and there's no problem with connectivity. The quality of food is average, and medical and sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: Facilities at NIT Srinagar are good and well-qualified, they are great in their professions, and they teach the relevant curriculum. Students need to build their skills on their own, and different workshops are available for this, so that they can learn and get industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because it's great to go with ECE if you're really interested in research-related things, or if you are targeting PSUs. The events and crowd connectivity are all good here, with a lot of extracurricular activities.

A very beautiful campus for non-locals, but a very strict atmosphere for someone new.
Placements: As much as I have heard from seniors, placements of ECE at NIT Srinagar are above average, and the field of ECE is also emerging as a good opportunity. The faculty of core subjects is strict, according to most of the seniors, and the branch also has a very low average CGPA compared to other branches, but that doesn't affect the placements as you are trained pretty well along with a lot of opportunities.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very poor, almost 5 students in a very small room in the 1st year, and then 4 students in a single room from the 2nd year, and it stays as 4 students till your 4th year. Although there is a mega hostel under construction, that will still take time to be built. Mess food is okay, not the best, but still manageable.
Faculty: Faculty here at NIT Srinagar is amazing. There are some seriously very experienced professors, especially in the branch of ECE, although they are a bit on the strict side when it comes to academics, but the quality of content taught here is really next level.
Other: There are events and fests in the college, a lot of them actually, but not up to that level.

Review for NIT Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
Placements: The placement is average. You need to work really hard for better placements. I would suggest you explore other options too, outside the campus, and work on your better skills and techniques. The placements here are considered to be fine, more or less.
Infrastructure: The hostels are really bad. There are 6 bunk beds in first-year rooms, and the top bunk in bed is really difficult to adjust to. The Wi-Fi is slow, too. The labs are fine and the library is good too, but there should have been more space for a larger number of students.
Faculty: Teachers are fine. They are well aware and have great knowledge. They will help with better placements, too. The exams here are moderate to difficult. You have to study on your own, but some faculty is fine too. You can take their help as well. Some of them are strict tho.

Now several improvements are available. Our college is good in all aspects.
Placements: Around 78-80% of students are placed in mechanical engineering. The highest package for mechanical is 18 LPA, and the lowest is around 7-8 LPA. Microsoft, Infosys, Amazon, Google, GAIL, BPCL, recruit. 80% got an internship. In our course club, like Torus, is available for cad available for ist year, Etc.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available in our course library for students to study. Labs like the computer lab are available for non-tech branches also during the college hours, 9 am-5 pm. Classrooms are well. In our hostel, facilities available are a water cooler, hot, cold, and normal water are available, the bathrooms are neat and clean, available for use every time. Good quality food is available in our mess. At the festival, a special type of food is available. Our new medical health centre is open, and it provides free treatment to students. For sports, it is good to have a running track, 2 basketball courts, and a cricket ground.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, some have done M.Tech from IIT Roorkee, IIT Jammu, and GFTI College. The teaching level is good. The course curriculum is relevant. In our college, only two branches, ECE and mechanical, are accredited. Our semester exam difficulty level is above moderate.
Other: I chose this mechanical course because mechanical is an evergreen branch. AI cannot replace Mechanical engineering, which is a well-known branch. In this college. Our culture fest is range-e Chinar, many festivals are celebrated here, Diwali, Holi, and Navratri.
