SVNIT to explore better.
Placements: Last year total 70% of students got placed in electronics branch. Top recruiting companies are Visa, Master Card, Samsung, etc. Roles offered are software engineer, GET, and data or business analyst. Roles related to engineering disciplines like civil, mechanical, electrical, and electronics. The highest package offered at SVNIT Surat is 52 LPA. About 50% of students got internships from our course in companies like Tata, Microsoft, L&T, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has good networking for the alumni association. SVNIT has Wi-Fi facility for the students and staffs. The institute has a central computer central center that takes care of the internet access requirement throughout the campus, including administration and academic departments, hostels, staff quarters, etc.
Faculty: SVNIT is considered well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Teaching quality is generally good. The course curriculum at SVNIT Surat is generally considered relevant and aims to prepare students for the industry. Generally manageable with a high pass percentage.
Other: I have chosen this course because this course has a better future in semiconductor industry in India. Coding culture we have to improve in our college. Cultural fest is Sparsh and technical fest is Mindbend.

It has a good environment. It has a big campus but poor sports infrastructure. Academics are good.
Placements: 75% of students get placements till now from the senior batch. However, the internship percentage of my batch is not good. For the 2025 placement batch, placements are overall good. Mainly IT and software companies came followed by core companies which are less in number and along with some companies with management roles.
Infrastructure: Electronics department has very good infrastructure with good lab facilities and good professors. The coursework is somewhat difficult. Hostel facilities are good. The only mess part needs to be well maintained. The quality of food is not good in the mess of most hostels excluding some.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-trained and experienced. They are ready to help with any kind of project or guidance. The course curriculum needs some modification and it becomes a little bit hectic. A good part is it aims to make students industry-ready. The gap between the college academic and continuously upgrading industrial skill set is huge for every academic institution, still, it works towards industry oriented curriculum, which is commendable.
Other: The extracurricular activities of this college are very good. It has many engaging and entertaining fests and activities from cultural to technical and in between fests all are mind-refreshing and entertaining.

SVNIT focuses on developing better students surroundings and helps build a career in R&D.
Placements: Out of the deserving candidates who have passed the criteria of a 6.5 to 7.5 CGPA, almost 75% minimum of students get placed in campus placements. Companies like Nvidia, Samsung, BEL, JBL, JP Morgan, AMD, and SIEMENS come for placement offers. Placement recruitment starts from the 7th semester, however, many students who get internships through the college also get placed during and from the same company also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very well. We have labs that can provide sessions for 40 students at a time. The library is the best place on campus, it has AC, comfortable chairs, and tables for group studies. Newspapers, journals, research papers, and every subject-related book are available in it. The canteen is currently under renovation and is expanding its area to handle the crowd. It has tasty food, drinks, soft dairy products, and packaged products. Hostels are clean and provide a good environment, with Wi-Fi in all over the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and encouraging towards core subjects. They are mainly focused on research and development, so you get a deep level of study. However, some faculty members are boring, but they provide enough material so that you don’t lack knowledge. There are 2 exams MID and END semester, 2 quizzes, and 2 unit tests taken in one semester. The exam pattern is highly based on practical problems.
Other: The reason to choose this particular college is that it is among the top 7 NITs in the ECE branch, and you feel it is true as you get full support for ECE development. The college is also focused on civil and mechanical engineering, and they are growing rapidly. Events are very exciting. We have MINDBEND, a technical fest, which is the biggest tech fest in Gujarat, and SPARSH, a cultural fest. The fresher party and every festival are also celebrated on campus.

SVNIT is best ever college.
Placements: 80% of students got placed in my course (EC). In my course, the highest package is 32 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package is 11 LPA. There are so many top recruiting companies that come to my college like Texas, Amazon, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: There are so many labs and classrooms in my department. They are very clean and neat. The infrastructure is looking like a foreign institute. The library has the first rank for the biggest library in Gujarat. We get free Wi-Fi facility ever.
Faculty: Every faculty member has the first rank in their personal field. Every faculty member has on top. Obviously, the course makes students industry-ready. The exams of this college depend on faculty members. The pass percentage is minimum 5+ CGPA you have to get.
Other: The highest package is my course that's why I chose this and also I am interested in this. The course will be very hard in the 6th and 7th semesters. It should be divided into some subjects in the earlier semester. So, the loads will balance. Of course, the event will master blaster of my college. Every student just loved that. No one is there who doesn't like college fest. The culture events are Sparsh and technical event is Mindbend.

Review of SVNIT, Surat - A college with good placements and campus life.
Placements: Placements at my college are decent enough as per NITs. From 7-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Micron, GE Healthcare, Visa, MasterCard, and more visit our campus and offer 6 to 7 candidates depending on requirement. The highest package is 57 LPA in the CSE branch and 35 LPA in ECE branch. In CSE, placement percentage is 94% and in ECE it is 84%. I will go for college placements and will give government exams and GATE exams.
Infrastructure: Hostel is well-developed and good to stay. We have double rooms for B.Tech students and single rooms for Ph.D. and M.Tech students. We have more than 10 hostels for girls and boys. Every room has 2 beds, 2 student tables and chairs, and other things students have to arrange. There is one common toilet and bathroom (with geyser) with 24x7 electricity and water supply. Mess food is good with new food every day and special lunch on Sunday. Alternate Saturday, mess is off. Online portals are there for hostel room allotment and mess fee payment.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is 26:160. Faculty members are very educated and have done Ph.D. from reputed IITs and hold more than 30 years of teaching experience. I like Dr. Abhishek Aacharya sir because his teaching style is extraordinary and taught us analog electronics with excellent dedication. There are 2 quizzes (20 marks each), 1 mid-semester (30 marks), and 1 end semester (50 marks) exam, every semester with mini projects of 10 marks.
Other: Sparsh and Mindbend are the annual and technical festivals in my college organised in February. Our library has more than 80,000 books which can be accessed through library cars. Our classroom has smart boards and 2 projectors. Labs are equipped with up to date equipment. Cricket (Manoj Memorial Night Cricket Tournament and Inter NIT), football, basketball, volleyball, and other games are organised every year. NCC and NSS are very important and also departmental and robotics clubs are there. We have startup and incubation (Ashine) clubs also.

Placements: Placement in our college is very nice. In CSE branch 95% of the students were placed and in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch 85% were placed. The highest package was 54 LPA and the lowest package was 3.5 LPA. In my course 15 percent students got internships. Top companies are VISA, Mastercard and GE healthcare.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my college is outstanding. It is spanned in 250 acres, a massive campus size. We have well-equipped labs and instruments. Classes are equipped with Smart Boards and projectors. Hostels are very good. They are double shared with facilities of games, indoor and outdoor grounds also like volleyball, football and cricket.
Faculty: Faculty in our college are well qualified and hold Ph.D. degree from top IITs. Teaching quality is decent but at the end students need to read notes and watch YouTube videos for understanding the concepts. Course curriculum is well advanced and according to GATE examination. Semester exams are moderate difficult and pass percentage is 36%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do engineering in top government colleges like NITs and IITs but my rank was 18170 and I being General candidate need to choose NIT Surat ECE. Many cultural events like Sparsh, Mindbend, MMNCT are organised in our college.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, hostel life and placement statistics. It is a very good college.
Placements: Based on last year's placement statistics, about 50 percent of the graduates secured placements. The highest package offered was 32 LPA while the minimum package was around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Amazon Bajaj, Accenture Adobe and Tata. Additionally around 20 percent of the students secured internships.
Infrastructure: The college and hostel infrastructure are excellent. The library spans three floors each equipped with AC ventilation. The middle floor is dedicated to borrowing books. Hostel rooms are spacious and accommodate two students per room. The mess is average as the food tends to be mostly sweet.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified with many holding doctorate degrees. The teaching quality is excellent and the curriculum is relevant ensuring no time is wasted and making students industry ready. Semester examinations are manageable with consistent preparation especially starting at least a week prior.

The campus of the college is lush green throughout.
Placements: In placements SVNIT has a decent average of 14 LPA last year and the highest of 52 LPA which was offered by Microsoft. Sixty five percent of the students were placed the previous year. The major recruiters at SVNIT include Microsoft, Reliance Digital and the Adani Group. Many companies offer internships at SVNIT.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent with separate buildings for different departments and research labs for students. The canteen at SVNIT offers decent quality food at affordable rates. The campus is fully connected with internet facilities including LAN and WiFi. The mess at SVNIT is impressive as expected from an NIT.
Faculty: The teachers at SVNIT are helpful and good at interacting with students. The teaching quality is decent and the course curriculum is relevant to the semiconductor industry. The semester exams are quite challenging requiring students to focus on their studies to achieve a good CGPA.
Other: Electronics and Communication is a good course in terms of industrial development as the future depends on the electronics industry. The college hosts many fests including Sparsh (the cultural fest) and Mindbend (the technical fest).

In SVNIT, computer engineering and mechanical engineering are good. If you have taken ECE and have good coding skills, then you can get the best placement. For ECE branch, very few companies visit the campus. Very few chances to get a job in companies like Google.
