So basically, if you are willing to have good placements and be successful.
Placements: So basically, in my course, the strength of the students is not that much, which means the competition criteria is not very high, resulting in good placements. I'm currently in batch 1, and the total batches in my passing stream are 3. The eligibility criteria to sit for placements is 8+ CGPA, which every student should have for their own benefit. The highest package in my college is recorded as 50 LPA, which is recently offered in 2024, whereas the average top package is 17 LPA, which I think is good for a beginner.
Infrastructure: So TBH, I am not living in the campus hostel as the campus hostel serves non-veg food, and I have been a vegan from birth. So I avoid living inside the college campus. But I have seen some facilities and also heard more from my friends, like good infrastructure with good-speed Wi-Fi, properly furnished rooms with no smelly gallery, separate balconies, and many more. Medical facilities and other curricular activities are also available on campus in different places with different rules.
Faculty: Teachers are really working hard to help us understand concepts by being strict, which I really appreciate now as a mature student. Many extracurricular activities are also there, for example, I am an applied petroleum student, so I participated in course-related clubs that include quizzes directly connected to my course and help me with my academics. However, the semester exams are not that tough to pass, if you study well and keep up with the teacher, then there’s no reason to be stressed about them.

Very satisfied placements .
Placements: 94% placement in 2022. The highest placement was 33 LPA offered to 5 students and the lowest was 6LPA. The average placement was around 7-8LPA. Top recruiting companies include SLB, exxon, cairn, reliance, shell, halliburton. Almost all students went for the internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities like hostel for both boys and girls. Occupancy of boys hostel is triple sharing Non-AC room with common washroom. While for girls is also same and also certain rooms are with double sharing and attached washroom with AC. However this facility is not for boys. Quality of food is good with both veg and Non-veg options available. Medical facilities is also good with ambulance available one for each hostel. Sports such as cricket, volleyball, basketball and gym.
Faculty: Teachers are heloful and friendly. Proper knowledge is given. Apart from core subjects there are also course for personal development like leadership and team work, learning how to learn etc. Proper teaching staff for placement purpose. Classes for placement are held every week. The curriculum hepls the students to be industry ready. If one is listening and attending classes he/she will definitely clear the semester exams. The passing percentage is around 95%. .
Other: I chose this course because of my interest and it proved out to be good for me. Beat thing about my course is my course is considered to be the top course of the college, teachers are very knowledgeable with high experience from the industry. Relaxation for attendance could be given, an individual cannot appear for semester exam if he/she does not have 75% attendance in each subject. There are fest conducted in the college in the regular basis from different schools. Surrounding here is like heaven with mountains above and pleasant weather throughout the year.

A place that offers great learning experiences.
Placements: So this time, as per the records, more than 90% of the students got placed in renowned companies, which include Reliance, Schlumberger, Cairn, Shell, etc. The highest package offered by Schlumberger was INR 33 LPA, and the average package is somewhere between INR 7.5 LPA and 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: If we talk about the infrastructure for the course, we have most of the things that we need for our course, like well-equipped labs. You name the apparatus; we have it in the lab. There are library licences, which provide a great learning experience.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very helpful to students. Whenever I have doubts or any query, they are always available, if not physically, then on calls or texts. Also, they are well qualified, as shown by their knowledge of the particular course.
Other: When it came to what I wanted to pursue for my bachelor's degree, I was pretty clear that I wanted to do my degree in petroleum engineering. So I started searching for colleges that offer petroleum engineering, and that's when I got to know about UPES. And I chose UPES.
