My opinion about my course curriculum.

Placements: Placements of my course are excellent. About 80% of students who study hard get placed. The highest package is 42 LPA, the lowest is 7 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA in my course this year. Almost 90% of students got internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my department is also good, or we can say decent facilities are available with proper arrangements. There are computer labs, and there is a huge library in my college. Hostels are also good with a family-like environment, where sports facilities are amazing.

Faculty: Faculty members are also good. They are highly qualified and have pursued their Ph.D. from top universities and IITs. There are assistant professors who are very supportive and support us mentally. The course is also relevant; we learn so much there. Semester exams are also average.

College is good and rest is your choice.

Placements: About 80% of students got placed from my course with the highest package of 45 LPA and the lowest of 7 LPA my course is totally worth it. Our top recruiters are Zerodha, TCS, etc. About 90% of students got internships and our course includes coding and other technical works.

Infrastructure: My department building is good enough. I enjoyed it here a lot our college also has a very good library however some parts of the college are old but renovation works are going on their hostels are good. The girls' hostel is also very good and there is a decent sport also.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to our college. They support us in many ways they provide notes. They consult us like a mentor and the curriculum is also relevant to build my future. Semester exams are average, still, many students face problems in that but they manage it and overall is good.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the coding world. There are hardly any events that take place here like Aayam, Graffathon, etc. Almost most students get scholarships here and there are many clubs for extracurricular activities.

Placement is not so good.

Placements: About 60%-70% of students from my batch got placed through campus drives. The highest package offered is around 20 LPA, while the average ranges between 5 LPA-6 LPA, and the lowest hovered nearly 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, and some product-based firms like ZS Associate and Adobe. Roles offered varied from software developer, analyst, and system engineer to roles in core branches like design engineer and maintenance officer. Around 30% of students also secured internships during their third year, mostly in companies like L&T, Tata Steel, and Wipro.

Infrastructure: The academic infrastructure at SGSITS is fairly decent. Classrooms are equipped with basic facilities like projectors and fans, though some rooms need renovation. The campus Wi-Fi is available but often has connectivity issues. Labs are well-equipped for practical work, especially in core engineering branches. The library is spacious with a good stock of academic books and journals.

Faculty: Teachers are generally considered helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs, and some being alumni of IITs and NITs. Quality of education is often rated as good, especially compared to other state-level colleges. Faculty members often focus on teaching relevant courses to help students in their respective fields. Semester exams are generally considered to be moderately difficult. Almost 40%-50% of students have backlogs in their respective branch and even in the first year, whereas the branch has the same syllabus.

Other: Since my rank fell in this course during counselling. The best things about information technology are not a hectic branch. Professors are chill, and even students are chill in this branch. I wish to improve is placement. Since this college is considered the best state engineering college in Madhya Pradesh, more companies should visit. Events and fests are not even on to level of amusement. Connectivity is good, only 1km from the Indore Railway Station. Scholarship is based on rank on JEE and class 12th percentage, so only eligible students can get scholarships.

It's good if you take admission in top branches like CSE, IT.

Placements: Around 60-65% of students are placed in our course. The highest package is approximately 17.5 LPA, and the lowest package is approximately 3 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Capgemini, Accenture come for placements. Some manufacturing or core engineering companies (e.g., for Mechanical/Civil: L&T Construction, local infrastructure firms, smaller automotive suppliers) also recruit.

Infrastructure: Usually, there's a mix of older and newer buildings. Classrooms might be basic, with green boards and projectors. A central library with a decent collection of textbooks and journals often has a digital section for e-resources. Study areas are generally available. One or two medium-sized halls are present for events, seminars, and guest lectures. There are basic sports grounds and courts for basketball/volleyball. A small gym is present but often lacks modern equipment.

Faculty: A significant number of staff hold M.Tech/M.E. degrees, often from IITs. There's a growing percentage with Ph.Ds, particularly in newer or more research-focused departments. A few senior professors have extensive teaching experience (15-25+ years) and perhaps some industry experience. The curriculum generally tries to incorporate trending technologies, but updates might be slower than in Tier 1 institutions. Students generally need a minimum percentage in both internal and external exams (e.g., 40% overall with a minimum of 30% in the external exam) to pass a subject.

Other: While we may not have the extensive research grants or brand recognition of top-tier colleges, our strength lies in providing a supportive learning environment that focuses on making students job-ready and equipping them with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in their careers.

Placements are nice. If you are from information technology department then this is your college.

Placements: Last year, the placements of my course were 80%. The highest package offered is 50 LPA while the lowest package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, Infosys, and TCS. Internships offered are also good and help during placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of information technology engineering department is better than the other departments of the college. The building of the classrooms and the interior of information technology engineering department are nice. The Wi-Fi is available in classroom and library.

Faculty: The most chill branch of our college is information technology. This is the line you will listen from every senior at the college. Faculty members are very chill, lenient, and considerate. Semester exams are also easy and can be easily cleared in just one week.
