VNIT Nagpur is one of the finest NIT.
Placements: Generally, top civil engineering companies recruit regularly from VNIT campus. L&T ECC, KEC International, Gammon India, etc., are the top companies that visit the campus for recruitment. The placement ratio is almost 50-60% every year. Roles offered by these companies are as a trainee for construction management CTM branch.
Infrastructure: VNIT is one of the finest colleges in terms of infrastructure and facilities. High-speed internet, library facility, DC+ is available to students 24 hrs. Hostel accommodation and the food served are of appropriate quality. M.Tech students are provided with single rooms. College also has good sports, cultural events and organisations.
Faculty: Courses for students in VNIT are one of the best in the country. Syllabus and curriculum are updated every year for all the courses in the institution. Exams are conducted in 2 sections, i.e., monthly sessional examination and end semester exam.
Other: Special cultural and sports fest are organised exclusively for M.Tech students.

Placements are unsatisfactory, faculty members and course curriculum is not as per industry.
Placements: Placements of construction technology management (CTM)course for batch 2018 was more than 80% but after that companies like AFCON and GAMMON stop recruiting from CTM and other companies offer below 4 LPA CTC and no companies recruit students for internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average. Labs are good but classroom needs regular maintenance. New hostels are good as compared to old hostels in terms of infrastructure, quality of mess food is very good. Medical facilities and sports are satisfactory.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable but sometimes supportive and course curriculum should include skills which are important for industries. Course curriculum is still focuses on mugging the concepts and not about the practical knowledge and students just focuses on marks not on knowledge.
Other: Construction Management helps students to learn techniques about project management, scheduling and planning. Events and fests are always enjoyable.

Really good infra, good faculty. Below average events compared other NITs. Placements are good.
Placements: Of 2019 batch 13 out of 16 people were placed, I heard. Packages ranges from 4 lac - 8 lac annually
L&T, Gammon India, Aarvee associates.
College started to offer internship for our course recently due to rules and all.
Infrastructure: The facilities like lab, library etc. are very good. The quality of food very good compared to previous institute. Medical facilities are available round the clock and in almost all specialisation (needed for students) like ortho, ophthalmo, ent, physiotherapy etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified with experience. You can find a teacher for any of your needs whether it is industry experience, consultancy or research. The best part about our course is it prepares student industry ready and have takes feedback from industry to prepare it.
Other: The events in college are average at best compared to other similar institutes. The Course is mix of civil engineering with management, so I was interested.

I am satisfied with teaching and placements provided are quite good.
Placements: As per 2019 placements, almost 100% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 5.6 LPA. L&T was the top recruiting company. As of now, no student got internships. Planning manager is the top role offered for our course, and it is the best role offered over filed of work.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the college are quite good in the department and hostels as well. But the food served in the mess is of low standard compared to other NITs. Even the canteen is very costly. Medical facilities are available along with an ambulance.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are PhD holders and are very well qualified for teaching the course. The course curriculum is relevant, and it incorporates day to day requirements which helps a student to understand the current industry scenario. The curriculum is adjusted as per the companies that visit for placements.

I am dissatisfied with the placements, but it will get improved.
Placements: Above 50% of the students got placement in the yea 2019 in core companies. The college does not provide placements in the year 2020 in core companies. The average salary package offered ranges between 4-6 LPA. None of the students from our batch got an internship. Companies like L&T and Gammon visit our college for placements. Roles like GET, PGT and MT are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are really good. The college provides good labs, classrooms and the library. Wi-Fi facility is available in hostels and library. Quality of food served is satisfactory. Health centre and medical facilities are adequate.
Faculty: The course needs to be developed into a more industry-oriented course along with industry tie-ups, training and placements. The course curriculum is relevant but needs some update due to the fast-growing and changing industry and its needs. Teachers in our college are qualified and knowledgeable.
Other: The college organises a PG fest named Vihang.
