Eligibility Criteria for Graphic Design Course
Eligibility for the Graphic Design course will depend on the provider of the course. The online course providers do not demand any eligibility requirements generally. However, institutes that offer classroom courses, have specific eligibility criteria. Some of the general criteria are given below:
Eligibility for admission in UG courses:
- Completed 10+2 level of education
- Must have achieved prescribed minimum marks in 10+2
- Must have taken prescribed subject combination in 10+2
Eligibility for admission in PG courses:
- Completed UG level of education in the relevant discipline of design
- Must have achieved prescribed minimum marks in UG
Eligibility for admission in Diploma/Certificate Courses:
- Completed 10+2 level of education
- Some institutes offer diploma/certificates in Graphic Design after class 10
How to Take Admission in Graphic Design Courses?
The Graphic Design course is available at 2 levels - UG and PG. Apart from that, online, certificate and diploma courses are also available, as discussed above. But, how do you take admission in these courses? Let us discuss it below:
Admission to UG Graphic Design Courses
To take admission in the Graphic Design course at the UG level, candidates must have completed a 10+2 level of education. The admission process however will differ, like some colleges take admission based on the entrance exam. However, some take admission based on merit in qualifying exams. Other criteria that the colleges take into consideration include minimum marks in the qualifying exam, age, nationality, etc.
Admission to PG Graphic Design Courses
Admission in PG level Graphic Design course requires candidates to have a UG degree in the same or other relevant degrees. Additionally, some colleges might also need the candidates to have qualifying marks in the national/institute level entrance exam. Also, factors like marks in the qualifying exam, age, nationality, etc are also taken into account.
Admission to Certificate / Diploma Graphic Design Course
One can pursue a diploma or certificate course in Graphic Design after 10+2. These are short term courses. Most institutes hardly consider any set criteria for admission in these courses. Alo no entrance exams are held for these courses generally.
Admission to Online Graphic Design Course
There is no specific eligibility criteria needed to enroll in an online Graphic Designing course.
