
UCEED Exam Centre 2026 - IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2026 exam in 27 cities across India. An exam city can have one or more exam centres. The candidate had to select their choice of exam city when filling out the UCEED 2026 application form. Requests for a change in the UCEED 2026 exam centre (city) will not be entertained. The name and address of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the UCEED admit card. The admit card would also contain details like exam-centre reporting time, the list of items allowed and barred inside the UCEED exam centre, etc. Admit card was released on January 02, 2026.

UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours from 9 am - 12 noon. On the day of exam, candidate needs to report at the exam centre at least 2 hours before exam commences. Candidate will have to report at 7 am. No candidate will be allowed entry inside the exam hall once the exam commences. So, the candidate must be punctual about reaching the UCEED 2026 exam venue.

UCEED 2026 Exam Day - Item Checklist
Before appearing for the exam, candidates are advised to read the exam day instructions mentioned on UCEED admit card carefully. Candidates are also advised to carry the following items and documents to the test centre on the day of the exam.
What to carry on UCEED 2026 exam day?
Part A section of UCEED will be a computer-based test. Candidates are advised to carry a pen or pencil for the test. Apart from this, candidates are also advised to carry the following documents to their UCEED exam centre 2026.
- Admit Card: It is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre. Candidates without a valid copy of their UCEED admit card will not be allowed to give the exam.
- Photo ID: Candidates are recommended to carry a valid and original photo ID to the exam centre. Candidates can carry documents like PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card/ Ration Card as their photo ID proof.
- Photo: Lastly, candidates are advised to carry a passport-size photograph to the test centre. The photograph should be the same as the one used at the time of filling out the UCEED application form.
What NOT to carry on UCEED 2026 exam day?
Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the UCEED exam hall.
- Electronic devices such as mobiles, smartphones, digital/ smart watches, calculators, tablets, etc
- Abacus
- Slide rule

You should bring pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for UCEED examination. You are not allowed to bring any electronic devices like mobile phones, smart phones, digital/smart watches, calculators, and tablets.
Impersonation in UCEED exam is not allowed. Any candidate who is found indulging in such activities will be disqualified. Criminal proceedings may also be brought against candidates. So it is asked that candidates follow guidelines issued by IIT Bombay for appearing in exam.
Activities like cheating, disturbing other candidates during the exam, etc. are also not allowed.
UCEED Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must follow the given guidelines on the day of UCEED Exam.
- The IIT UCEED Exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026, 9.00 am – 12.00 noon.
- Candidates can report at the examination centre from 7:00 am on Sunday, January 18, 2026, with a printout of the Admit Card and a Valid Original Photo Identity Proof.
- There will be biometric attendance at the UCEED Exam centre.
- The identity of the candidates will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives.
- Candidates cannot carry any electronic devices (mobile phones, smart phones, watches of any type, calculators, tablets).
- Candidates must bring pen and pencils in a transparent packet or pouch.
- Shades of black colour are allowed. Sketch pens, color pencils, poster colors and other colouring materials are NOT allowed inside the examination hall.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall even if they finish their exam early.

Candidates from any academic stream are eligible to apply for UCEED exam. However, for admission to IIT Guwahati it is mandatory for candidates to have passed Class 12 from Science stream. The candidate needs to carefully go through the eligibiity criteria before they apply. It is because the candidate will not be considered for admission to the B. Des programme even if they get a rank in UCEED 2026 if they don't meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Also, any candidate who is found to be using incorrect information about their eliigibity stands to be disqualified if caught.

UCEED Admit Card 2026
Candidates must bring UCEED Admit card to the Exam Centre. They will be allowed to enter the exam hall only if they have a vaild photo ID. A soft copy of the Admit card is not allowed. Candidates must have a printout of the admit card. Soft copy of the admit card will not be accepted.
UCEED Admit Card will be released on January 02, 2026 at 1 PM. It will be out at uceed.iitb.ac.in. Email ID and Password are required to download the admit card.

Exam officials will not make any arrangements for stationery items for appearing in the exam. So, it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to bring the necessary stationery. Here are the basic stationery items one needs to take the UCEED exam: pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. The candidate, however, mustn't bring any drawing sheets with them to the exam hall.
