
UCEED Exam Centre 2025 - IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2025 exam in 27 cities across India. An exam city can have one or more exam centres. The candidate had to select their choice of exam city when filling out the UCEED 2025 application form. Requests for a change in the UCEED 2025 exam centre (city) will not be entertained. The name and address of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the UCEED admit card. The admit card would also contain details like exam-centre reporting time, the list of items allowed and barred inside the UCEED exam centre, etc.
The UCEED 2025 exam was conducted on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).
On the day of the exam, the candidates were advised to report to the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the admit card. To take the exam, the admit card and a photo ID are required. Also, they need to follow UCEED 2025 exam-day guidelines.
To apply for UCEED 2025, candidate must the following THREE criteria:
Criterion 1 – Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.
Criterion 2 – Number of attempts: The candidate is allowed to attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.
Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
Criterion 3 – Qualifying examination: The candidate should have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or
equivalent) in 2024 or should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2025. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2025.

Exam officials will not make any arrangements for stationery items for appearing in the exam. So, it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to bring the necessary stationery. Here are the basic stationery one needs to take the UCEED 2025 exam: pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. The candidate, however, mustnt bring any drawing sheets with them to the exam hall. It is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the list of allowed and barred items before arriving at the UCEED 2025 exam centre.

UCEED 2025 Exam Day - Item Checklist
Before appearing for the exam, candidates are advised to read the exam day instructions mentioned on the UCEED admit card carefully. Candidates are also advised to carry the below-mentioned items and documents to the test centre on the day of the exam.
What to carry on UCEED 2025 exam day?
The Part A section of UCEED will be a computer-based test. However, candidates are advised to carry a pen or pencil for the test. Apart from this, candidates are also advised to carry the below-mentioned documents to their UCEED exam centre 2025:
- UCEED Admit Card: It is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre. Candidates without a valid copy of their UCEED admit card will not be allowed to give the exam.
- Photo ID: Candidates are recommended to carry a valid and original photo ID proof to the exam centre. Candidates can carry documents like PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card/ Ration Card as their photo ID proof.
- Photo: Lastly, candidates are advised to carry a passport-size photograph to the test centre. The photograph should be the same as the one used at the time of filling out the UCEED application form.
What NOT to carry on UCEED 2025 exam day?
Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the UCEED exam hall:
- Electronic devices such as mobiles, smartphones, digital/ smart watches, calculators, tablets, etc
- Abacus
- Slide rule
- Logbooks
- The study material of any type

On the day of the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate must bring with them the admit card and a valid photo id proof. Without these documents, the candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam. To take the exam, the candidate must bring the following items: pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. However, the candidate is not allowed to bring any electronic divide inside the exam hall, including mobile phones, smart phones, digital/smart watches, calculators, and tablets. Other items that are on the barred-items list include abacus, slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, and so on to the examination hall. Impersonation in the UCEED 2025 exam is not allowed. Any candidate who is found indulging in such activities will be disqualfiied. Further, criminal proceeding may also be brought against such candidates. So it is advised that candidates follow the guidelines issued by IIT Bombay for appearing in the exam. Note that in addition to impersonation, activities like cheating, disturbing other candidates during the exam, etc. Are also not allowed.
Dos and Don'ts on UCEED 2025 exam day
On the day of the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate needs to follow these guidelines:
- Exam date and Timing: January 19, 2025 (9 – 12 noon)
- Reporting time: 7 am
- Document checklist: Admit card and an original valid photo ID proof. These documents are required to record the biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) before appearing for the examination.
- Verification of the identity of the candidate: The identity of the candidates will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives. If the identity of a candidate is found to be doubtful, he or she may not be allowed to appear in the UCEED 2025 exam. However, exam officials also have the discretion to permit the candidate to appear in the exam after completing certain formalities. Note that no extra time will be allocated to the candidate to complete the examination instead of the time taken to complete these formalities. Further, the candidature of such candidates will be subject to the decision of the UCI Committee, which shall be final and binding.
- Avoid impersonation/ use of unfair means: Such acts will be treated as a serious offense, which will result in immediate disqualification of the candidate and lead
to criminal proceedings against the candidate. - The candidate will not be allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over.

As per instructions given on the admission portal, the candidate is not allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over. So, if you are planning to leave the exam hall even before the exam is over, you need to junk them now.
