SASTRA Deemed University Alumni Network

Most of the SASTRA students are working as IT professionals and higher-level managers in the top software companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Accenture, TCS, CTS, Infosys, etc.

SASTRA Deemed University organised an event called Alma Mater in Jan 2022 to bring together alumni.

The SASTRA Deemed University aims to provide a high-quality higher education that produces good academicians as well as good citizens and humans, so that they may contribute to a peaceful and tolerant society. That way, SASTRA Deemed University has educated more than 35,000 students who can really improve and benefit the country. There are around 36,154 members in the university's alumni network.
SASTRA Deemed University's alumni network keeps track of each student's profession, communication address, and contact details for sending any information to them. Former students frequently host meetings and events, write newsletters and journals, contribute to fundraising initiatives for their university, and also inspire other students. Students can retain their connections with ex-students by staying in touch with the network.
Social media platforms are nowadays more important for maintaining connections and in recent years, most institutions have embraced online platforms for engagement and interactivity. Alumni reunite and foster connections based on shared interests and values, contribute to important debates and share their experiences and knowledge through these platforms.

Alma Mater Event

Being a member of SASTRA Deemed University’s alumni network, a person may open up opportunities and provide students with several benefits. It not only helps to stay active, but it also allows users to assist new and emerging students. It has organised an event called "Alma Mater" to bring together alumni and rekindle and connect the memorable experiences and the success stories from their school days, as well as to reassert their commitment to their values. The event was held on Jan 26, 2022, at the admin office of SASTRA Deemed University in Chennai.
The university is mostly famous for engineering courses and most of the students work in software companies in the field of information technology.

Notable Alumni of SASTRA Deemed University

Chandramouleswaran Ravichandran: Ravichandran is from Chennai and finished his under-graduation degree in BTech CSE from SASTRA Deemed University in the batch of 2004 to 2008. Then, he completed his master’s degree at DXEREL University in Pennsylvania. Now, he is working as a Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, United States. He has a professional experience of around 13 years.
Prem Mohan Nair: He is from New Delhi and finished his under-graduation degree in BTech EEE from SASTRA Deemed University in the batch of 2002 to 2006. Now, he is working as a Group head of Powertrain controls at TATA Elxsi, Thiruvananthapuram. He has a professional experience of around 16 years.

SASTRA Deemed University is a world-class university, and most of the alumni of the university are from all over the country.
