SRM-AP Amaravati academic programme inaugurated

Dr TR Pachamuthu, Founder Chancellor, SRM Institute of Science and Technology inaugurated the SRM-AP Amaravati academic programme for the year 2017-18 on August 7 at its newly constructed premises in Neerukonda village in the capital region of Andhra Pradesh.
On the occasion, he shared that this is the fourth university of SRM group where approximately 65,000 students are pursing various courses. Even though many states offered to setup SRM Institute of Science & Technology in their states but they preferred Andhra Pradesh to establish the University campus. He further shared, that with a good support from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the under-construction university buildings have been completed in a short span of 150 days. Moreover, another important aspect to prefer Andhra Pradesh is that most of the SRM students are from the state.

According to Pachamuthu, his ambition is to develop SRM- AP Amaravati as a world class educational institution. The first batch of students from SRM-AP Amaravati will build the future image of the university with their hard effort. Pachamuthu promised to take care of the students and requested students to trust them with the same. SRM is a right place for students which has partnerships with prestigious foreign universities and those institutions allow SRM students to pursue on semester in the four years period.
Dr P. Satyanarayanan, Managing Trustee, SRM-AP Amaravati told students - 'You glitter and SRM will glitter'. He also advised them to develop the creativity with the support of highly qualified and international exposure faculty. According to him, students are not job seekers but job providers. For this, he advised students to attain knowledge and quality in their upcoming career.
Senior Executive Director, Nanyang Technical University, Singapore has said that the ties between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh have been improving. He announced that with that aim, his university is willing to have partnership with SRM- AP Amaravati.
Dr D Narayana Rao, Pro vice Chancellor, invited the guests, students and parents who attended the function. Professor Nicholas B Dirk, former Chancellor, University of California, Berkley, USA, Professor M S Vijay Kumar from MIT, USA, Professor B V R Chowdari , Prof.Prasant Mohapatra , Dean of graduate studies, University of California , Davis , USA and others dignitaries attended the inaugural session.
