Q:   When is the Assam PAT exam date 2025?

Assam PAT exam date will be released soon at the official website. Applicants can check the Assam PAT exam date 2025 at dte-assamadm.samarth.ac.in. Assam PAT exam will be conducted in offline pen and paper mode. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their Assam PAT admit card along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. 

Q:   What is the mode of Assam PAT?
A: 

As per the Assam PAT exam pattern, the authorities will conduct the exam offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. No other mode will be used to conduct the exam. Candidates will have to be present at the exam centre to attempt the examination. To answer the questions, the candidates will have to mark the correct option in the OMR sheet. The question paper will be prepared based on the topics of Mathematics and Science.

Q:   Which subjects have to be studied for Assam PAT?
A: 

For Assam PAT, the candidates will have to study units and topics from Mathematics and Science (Physics and Chemistry). The candidates will also be required to prepare some topics from English. It is to be noted that the level of the Assam PAT syllabus is similar to H.S.L.C level (10th standard) syllabus. The official syllabus has to be checked carefully so that the candidates can accordingly prepare for the entrance examination.

Q:   How should I attempt the Assam PAT paper?
A: 

Assam PAT will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test at various centres. During the exam, the candidates will have to attempt objective multiple-type questions based on the official Assam PAT syllabus. Each question will have four options, out of which the correct one has to be marked carefully on the OMR sheet. After completing the examination, the OMR sheet has to be submitted to the authorities present at the centre. No extra time will be given to complete the Assam PAT paper.

Q:   What is the exam duration for Assam PAT?
A: 

Candidates will have to complete the Assam PAT examination within the allotted duration. As per the official exam pattern, the duration of Assam PAT is 2 hours. Within the allotted duration, the candidates will have to attempt 100 objective multiple-choice questions. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination. If the candidates are not able to complete the exam, then only the answered questions will be considered during the marking.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of Assam PAT?
A: 

The official marking scheme will be released through the Assam PAT exam pattern. As per the Assam PAT marking scheme, the candidates will be allotted 1 mark for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking i.e., no marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt and answer as many questions as they can within the allotted duration.

Important Instructions for Assam PAT 2025 Exam

  • Assam PAT 2025 will be held in all the Polytechnics of Assam on the subject of Science and Mathematics.
  • There will be one question paper on Science and Mathematics of 100 marks of 2 hours duration.
  • The question paper will be of the H.S.L.C. level (class X) standard.
  • The questions will be of objective type having multiple choices.
  • Candidates are to bring a black ball pen for marking the OMR sheet.
