What is BITSAT?
Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, conducts the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) to select students for admission into the undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Admissions are offered annually to candidates into the BE, BPharm and MSc programmes after qualifying for the admission test. The entrance exam is conducted online, and around 3 lakh students apply for it every year. However, the authorities also accept direct admissions for board toppers who meet the required eligibility criteria.

BITSAT 2026 Application Form
Registration: Jan ' 26
BITSAT 2026 application form will be released online at bitsadmission.com for all candidates. No other mode of application will be accepted. While filling out the BITSAT application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal, academic and contact details and upload their documents. The preferred exam centres also have to be selected. BITSAT 2026 application fee has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Separate application forms will be released for the different BITSAT 2026 exam sessions.
How to fill out the BITSAT 2026 Application Form?
Candidates can follow the given steps to fill out the application form of BITSAT 2026.
- Registration: The official BITSAT 2026 registration link will be available online at bitsadmission.com. After clicking on the registration link, the candidates will have to provide their valid email address and mobile number.
- Filling of the application form: Next, the candidates will have to fill out the BITSAT 2026 application form with their personal, contact and academic details. All of the submitted information has to be valid. After filling out their details, the candidates will have to select their choice of exam cities in order of preference for the allocation of centres.
- Uploading of documents: Candidates will have to upload scanned images of their photographs and signatures as per the official specifications prescribed by the authorities. If the uploaded documents do not meet the requirements, they will not be accepted.
- Payment of application fee: Finally, the candidates will have to pay the BITSAT 2026 application fee online, i.e., through PayU Money, PayTM, or ICICI Payment Gateway. No other mode of fee payment will be accepted by the authorities.
- Submission of the form: After fee payment, the candidates will have to submit their BITSAT application form. They will be required to check all the details and documents before final submission.
BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The authorities will release the details of the official BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria soon. If the candidates are not able to meet the required criteria, then they will be disqualified from the admission process.
For admission to any of the First Degree programmes of BITS except BPharm (Hons):
- The candidates should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English.
- Should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
For admission to BPharm (Hons):
- Should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCMB in Class 12 can also apply for the Pharmacy programme at BITS campuses.
- The candidates should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects.
Additional Important Eligibility Criteria:
- Only students who are appearing for the 12th standard examination in 2026 or have passed in 2023 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2026. Students who have passed their Class 12 examination in 2022 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT 2026.
- If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in the 12th standard or its equivalent, only his/her latest performance will be considered, provided this attempt had been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
- Candidates who are presently studying in any of the BITS campuses will not be eligible to appear for BITSAT 2026.
- Admissions will be made purely on a merit basis. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT 2026. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the 12th standard board exam, as mentioned above.

BITSAT 2026 exam pattern will be released soon. To understand how the entrance examination will be conducted, the candidates are advised to carefully check and refer to the BITSAT exam pattern 2026. It is important for the candidates to be familiar with the BITSAT exam pattern, as it will help them to plan out their study strategy. BITSAT 2026 will be held as a computer-based test. During the 3-hour exam, the candidates will have to attempt 130 objective multiple-choice questions. For every correct answer, the candidates will be given 3 marks, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

The BITSAT 2026 slot booking dates will be announced soon. Registered candidates will have to book their exam slots through the BITSAT slot booking 2026 facility separately for the two sessions. To access the BITSAT slot booking facility, the candidates will have to log in using their application number and password. Since the slot booking process will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis, the candidates are advised to complete booking their exam slots as soon as possible so that they are able to secure their preference.
