BITSAT Counselling Dates 2026: The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani conducts a centralised counselling for admission to B.E/B.Pharm and integrated M.E courses into all three campuses. The BITSAT counselling is conducted in multiple rounds and the admission offers are released as Iteration results. The institute announced the BITSAT Iteration 9 results on August 28. Candidates were able to check the allotment results through the official website, admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.
BITS Pilani offers admission to eligible candidates strictly on the basis of their BITSAT scores and programme preferences submitted during counselling. Candidates who are allotted a seat must complete the fee payment as per the specified deadline to retain their admission offer.

What is the BITSAT Preference Form?
The preference form is an important part of the admission process. Candidates must enter:
- Class 12 marks
- Campus preferences
- Branch preferences
- Personal and academic details
The order of preferences plays a major role in seat allotment. BITS Pilani considers the highest possible preference available according to a candidate’s score and seat availability.

Commonly asked questions
Candidates must refer to the BITSAT 2026 counselling schedule announced at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. For selection into the courses offered by the participating campuses, the students will have to participate in the BITSAT counselling process. During the counselling, the students will have to submit their preferences and pay the fee for allotment.
BITSAT 2026 result will be released a few weeks after the exam concludes. While the students will be able to check their scores immediately after the exam ends, the moderated scores will be released through the result. For every exam session, the results will be announced.

Students who are 12th standard board toppers are eligible for direct admissions through BITSAT counselling. These students do not require a BITSAT score and will be eligible based on their board exam performance. Basic eligibility criteria has to be met.
Yes. There will be no separate counselling process for the different BITS campuses. Students will have to participate in the centralized counselling for admissions into their preferred campuses. The list of preferences have to be submitted during counselling for allotment.
During BITSAT counselling, students will be allotted according to rank and preferences. Allotment result will be announced in form of iterations. Once students are allotted, they will have to confirm their admission.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission
To be considered for admission through BITSAT counselling, candidates must satisfy the BITS Pilani eligibility requirements.
- For B.E. programmes, candidates generally need:
- Minimum 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12.
- At least 60% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- A valid BITSAT 2026 score.
- Meeting the eligibility criteria is mandatory even if a candidate secures a high BITSAT score.
What Happens After Announcement of Iteration?
Candidates have to decide whether to accept the offered seat and complete the fee payment process. Those who remain in the admission process can still be considered for upgrades in future iterations based on seat vacancies and merit. If the admission is not accepted before final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

Aspirants with Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 can only apply for BE Environmental & Sustainability and BPharm courses of BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus. For all other BE specialisations, PCM is required. Aspirants must pass BITSAT for admission in BE and BPharm courses.

In case of General AI, the BITS Pilani BITSAT cutoff 2026 is between 211 and 309 in Round 6. Thus, the cut-off to be attained for admission is 211.
