What is BITSAT Test City Allotment?

The BITSAT test city allotment will be announced online and candidates will be able to check their allotted test city before slot booking. Applicants had to choose three cities as per their choice while filling the BITSAT application form. Of these 3 choices, the authorities allocate one city and inform the same through the city intimation process. The authorities use these preferences to help allot students their exam cities. Every year, thousands of students register for the exam. Because of the large number of applicants, the authorities follow a process to assign test cities fairly. The city allotment ensures that candidates are able to appear for the exam at a nearby and convenient location. Candidates should check their allotted city as soon as it is released and complete slot booking without delay. The final allotment depends on several factors such as:

  • Number of applicants choosing the same city
  • Availability of BITSAT exam centres
  • Capacity of computer-based test labs
  • Regional distribution of candidates

Note: Candidates may not always receive their first preferred city. The exam authority tries to allot one of the preferred cities whenever possible.

It does not confirm the exam date or time. Slot booking is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, candidates are advised to book their slots as early as possible once the window opens. The next step is slot booking, where candidates select:

To get admission to the BE course at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, students are required to appear in BITSAT. As per previous years' cutoff stats, it has been analysed that the minimum scores are between 230 and 250. But with 250 marks, the chances are less of getting selected.
