DCECE 2026 Exam: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board conducts the Bihar DCECE exam for polytechnic admission to the state. The DCECE 2026 application form is expected in April 2026. Candidates who wish to apply for the DCECE exam have to visit the website- bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, once the form is live. Registered candidates will be issued the admit card required for appearing in the test. The authority conducts the exam in May at designated test centres. What is DCECE Exam?

Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) is a state-level entrance test for admission to Polytechnic (Engg - PE) / Para Medical (Matric Level - PMM) / Para Medical (Intermediate level - PM) courses offered in the various state-run polytechnic institutes. The exam is held in offline mode and there are separate question papers for PE, PMM, and PM courses. It is held for 2 hours 15 mins and the total number of questions asked is 90. Candidates can apply for the DCECE exam in online mode from the official website of BCECEB. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the exam which is followed by an online counselling process based on DCECE marks.

The syllabus for DCECE PM course group is Hindi, English and General Knowledge sections that are of class 12 level. No, There is no negative marking for wrong answers in DCECE. The exam is held in offline mode at the state level. Q:   Can I apply for more than one course group in DCECE?
A: 

Candidates can apply for any one course group, or any two or all course groups as per their eligibility. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in the class 10 exam in 2024 can apply for DCECE PE and PMM course groups. To apply for the PM course group candidates must have passed or are appearing in the 10+2 exam in 2025.

Q:   I have submitted the DCECE application form, but there are some errors in it, can I correct it?
A: 

The DCECE application form correction window will be provided for the candidates who have completed the form and submitted the same within the deadline. The last date for form correction is will be notified later. Using the application form correction window, candidates can edit/correct the details in the submitted form, if required. This correction facility is a one-time opportunity. To make changes in the online submitted DCECE application form, candidates have to login to the official website.

Q:   Do I need to send the printed DCECE application form to BSESEB?
A: 

No, candidates do not have to send the printed copy of the DCECE application form to the authorities. Candidates must keep the prints with themselves. Multiple copies of the complete application form should be printed as it will be required at different stages of the admission process.

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will release the complete list of DCECE 2026 exam centres. The exam centres for DCECE are spread across various districts in Bihar. Candidates have to download the DCECE admit card online. Only registered candidates will be issued the admit card to appear for the exam. After downloading the admit card, read all details on it and follow the instructions mentioned therein for the exam day.

DCECE Result 2026

BCECEB will announce the DCECE 2026 result for PE, PM and PMM course groups separately. Candidates can log in to the result portal to check the DCECE 2026 results for PE, PM, and PMM. Candidates have to use their roll number and date of birth to check the result. The DCECE result is not intimated to the candidates via mail or offline mode. Candidates have to download the DCECE rank card on their own from the website. There is no provision for re-evaluation of the result. The scores and ranks provided by BCECEB will be the final ones.
