HPCET 2025 answer key has been released. Candidates can now access the HPCET answer key 2025 in PDFs. The authorities have made the HPCET answer key available online at himtu.ac.in. No other mode has been used to release the answer key of HPCET 2025. The correct responses to the question paper are available in the HPCET answer key. Using the answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores secured in the examination.

Knowing the responses that they have submitted in the examination will allow the candidates to calculate their chances of admission before the official HPCET results are declared.

The marking scheme of HPCET is released online. Candidates are advised to check the marking scheme carefully to understand how their responses will be marked. For every correct answer, the authorities will award four marks to the candidates. However, one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while attempting the questions of HPCET. 

Yes. The candidates were able to raise objections against the provisional HPCET answer key. The final date to submit the objections was May 27, 2025. The authorities accepted objections against the answer key in two modes - physically at the University or through email. If the candidates opted to send the objections through email, then they had to send the same along with the supporting documents/solutions to arsecrecy[at]gmail.com. After the final date, the authorities did not accept any objections.

Yes. The candidates will be able to personally submit the objections against the provisonal HPCET answer key. To raise the objections physically, the candidates will have to submit their written complaints to the office of the Controller of Examinations, H.P. Technical University, Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur (H.P.)-177001. Along with the complaint, the candidates will have to submit the supporting documents/proofs. If the candidates fail to submit the supporting documents/proofs, then the authorities will not accept the objection.

HPCET paper will consist of three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. Each subject will have two sections i.e., Section A will have 20 questions while Section B will have 40 questions. In Section A, all 20 questions have to be compulsorily attempted, while 30 questions have to be attempted from Section B. A total of 150 objective multiple-choice questions have to be attempted within 3 hours 15 minutes. No extra time will allotted to the candidates to complete the entrance examination. All of the questions will be prepared as per the units and topics in the official HPCET syllabus.
