SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam 2026 ( SRMJEEE )

SRMJEEE 2026 Result: The SRM Institute will declare the SRMJEEE 2026 result at - srmist.edu.in. Candidates will have to log in to the official portal to download their SRMJEEE 2026 rank card. To download the same, they will have to log in using their credentials - SRMJEEE application number and date of birth. The SRMJEEE result link and details will also be sent to the candidates to their registered email ID.

The result of SRMJEEE consists of the candidate's name, application number, roll number, rank, etc. The SRMJEEE 2026 result is released for all phases separately. Students qualifying in the exam will become eligible for admission into different campuses of SRMIST, subject to meeting other eligibility criteria. SRMJEEE 2026 counselling is the next step after the result is announced. After each phase, counselling rounds are held that involve choice filling, programme allocation and payment of the tuition fee. As of now, there is no intimation as to when the SRMJEEE exam dates will be released however, we can expect the exam dates to be released in mid week of October. We will be sharing all the details here as and when it is released.

Q:   What is the SRMJEEE admission process?
A: 

According to the SRMJEEE admisison process, first candidates need to visit the official website - applications.srmist.edu.in/btech. Fill in the application form, pay the prescribed application fee and download the admit card to appear in the exam. After that, the results will be declared and candidates qualified in the exam will have to appear for the counselling process, post which they will be allotted the courses and the colleges.

How to Check SRMJEEE 2026 Result?

SRM result 2026 is announced online on the official website i.e., srmist.edu.in. Candidates must note that the SRMJEEE 2026 counselling and admission process will be conducted based on their scores.

  • The candidates are required to visit the official website and then click on the link to the SRMJEEE result/score
  • A new page will appear where candidates will need to log in using their application ID and the password along with the security question or given captcha
  • Click on the “SUBMIT” button after entering the details
  • The SRMJEEE 2026 result will be displayed on the screen. Candidates must download it and also take its printout for all future reference.
  • Candidates must keep their SRMJEEE 2026 result/scorecard printout safe till the admission process is over.

Q:   How to prepare for the SRMJEEE exam?
A: 

The SRMJEEE exam is not that difficult and if you have prepared for 10+2 effectively you will be able to qualify. Although it is a competitive exam as a lot of candidates apply for it every year, with a solid preparation strategy you will be able to crack it. Here are some of the SRMJEEE preparation tips for your reference - 

  • Refer to the official SRMJEEE syllabus and the exam pattern.
  • Stick to the NCERT and the supplementary books which you have referred while studying for the 10+2 exam.
  • Solve mock tests and arrange for at least 5 year previous year question papers and solve them rigorously.
  • Create mnemonics and keep them handy. Revise them to strengthen your preparations.

As per the exam pattern of SRMJEEE, there are 130 questions in the exam and each question carries 1 mark each. There is no negative marking in the exam giving candidates complete freedom to attempt as many questions as they can.

No, there is no negative marking in the SRMJEEE exam. This means students have complete freedom to attempt all the questions without the fear of losing marks.

After SRMJEEE 2026 Result

After the SRMJEEE results are declared, candidates will have to participate in counselling. After counselling, they will be eligible to get admission into B. Tech programmes are offered across different campuses of SRMIST.

Shortlisted candidates will receive call letters, after which they will have to register online for the SRMJEEE counselling process. Candidates will be offered courses based on the ranks, the preferred choice of branch & campus and seat availability.

The SRMJEEE e-counselling process includes the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Application Portal & Click on the Admission Portal
  2. Choice Filling
  3. Seat allocation
  4. Allocation Acceptance (only for allocated candidates)
  5. Proceed with the Payment of Counselling Fees (only for allocated candidates)
  6. Download the PAL (only for allocated candidates)

Q:   What are the SRMJEEE cut off marks?
A: 

The SRMJEEE cut off marks are the minimum marks which candidates need to score in order to secure a seat to pursue their course. The cut off marks is calculated by the exam body and sets as a shortlisting medium to ensure candidates who score equal to or more than the prescribed cut off are deemed qualified.

Q:   How is the SRMJEEE cut off marks calculated?

The SRMJEEE cut off is calculated on the basis of various factors such as - 

  • Number of candidates who appeared in the exam

  • Phases in which the SRMJEEE exam was conducted
Q:   What are the past year cut off patterns of SRMJEEE?
A: 

The SRMJEEE cut off varies college wise and course wise. So just to give you an idea, in 2020 students who obtained marks above 250 had an expected rank range below 2000, while those who obtained marks between 230-250 had an expected rank range of 2001-5000 etc. Similarly the marks redacted, their rankings to be reduced. Top ranked students received the best college and course which they applied during their choice filling.

Yes, you don't have to buy specific books seperately for SRMJEEE preparations. You can refer to your 10+2 NCERT books from classes 10 to 12. However, you can purchase practice papers for solve past year question papers and strengthen your preparations.
