
SRMJEEE Exam Pattern 2026: The exam body, Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) conducts the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) every year. The exam body prescribes the SRMJEEE exam pattern 2026. As per the exam pattern of SRMJEEE 2026, all the questions in the test are in multiple choice nature. Since the SRMJEEE exam is held in online, remote proctored mode, candidates can take it from their homes and on their own laptops/computers. Latest Changes in the SRMJEEE Exam Pattern
First, instead of answering 125 questions before, candidates will need to tackle 130 questions this year. Additionally, the structure of the exam has changed slightly: SRMJEEE exam pattern used to have five sections, but now it has four. The English and Aptitude sections have been merged into one combined section, which will now include a total of 20 questions, previously, there were 5 questions in English and 10 in Aptitude and they were treated as two separate sections. The other parts of the SRMJEEE 2026 exam pattern remain the same. The Math/Biology section will still have 40 questions, while the Physics and Chemistry sections will each contain 35 questions. Scoring will be consistent with last year’s rules; each correct answer will earn candidates 3 marks, and there will be no penalties for wrong answers. In total, the exam is worth 130 marks, compared to 125 in the past, and the duration remains at 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The SRMJEEE exam has 4 sections. Check the details below:
- Physics: The physics section will have 35 questions and will carry 35 marks. All questions in this section will be of MCQ type. The level of the questions asked in this section will be 10+2 level.
- Chemistry: This section will have 10+2 level questions asked in MCQ format. The total marks in this section will be 35. The total number of questions in this section will be 35.
- Maths or Biology: The candidates who aspire to join the Biotech, Biotech (Genetic/Regenerative) and Biomedical courses have to attempt the Biology section. However, candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English & Aptitude in SRMJEEE(UG) are eligible for all the BTech Degree Programs.
