Overview
JSAT exam pattern 2026 - Conducted by O.P. Jindal Global University, JSAT is a home proctored online exam, which means that candidates can appear for it from any location. All they need is a laptop/desktop with webcam and internet connection. The JSAT question paper comprises 120 questions in MCQ format to be completed in 120 minutes. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. For each course, different weightage is given to different sections for a final total. Read below, details of JSAT 2026 exam pattern:

JSAT 2026 question paper will be divided into three sections. Given below are the section names, number of questions asked in each section of JSAT.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of JSAT exam?
A: 

JSAT is an easy exam. The test pattern is also simple so you can crack it with basic coverage of JSAT syllabus and some practice. There are 120 MCQs in JSAT, to be completed in 120 minutes. There is no pressure of negative marking or sectional time limit. Moreover, every candidate gets 3 attempts. So, if you haven’t performed in first attempt, you can improve your score in the subsequent attempt.

Q:   What is the syllabus for JSAT exam?
A: 

JSAT syllabus includes all the important topics of Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills. Candidates must cover English Reading Comprehension, Parajumble, Grammar and Vocabulary. In Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills, they are required to cover topics included in the syllabus of an entrance exam for BBA.

JSAT Exam Retake Policy 2026

  • If any candidate wishes to improve their JSAT 2026 scores, they can schedule a retake test by paying the required exam fee.
  • O.P. Jindal University allows three retakes with INR 1,020 fee per retake.
  • Candidates can schedule retakes as per their convenience and availability.

Q:   How do I prepare for JSAT exam?
A: 

JSAT is an easy exam. Candidates can prepare it by practicing sample papers and test practice of Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills topics. The questions will be class 12 level for UG courses, so candidates need to mainly brush up the basics and practice a few JSAT sample papers to crack the exam. About 2-3 months of preparation will be enough.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in JSAT exam?
A: 

No, there is no negative marking in JSAT. Candidates must understand that JSAT is essentially an aptitude test. It doesn't need extensive preparation and coaching. Basic English comprehension, quantitative and logical reasoning aptitude is tested in this exam. Candidates can prepare for with basic practice and need not worry about the marking scheme as the cut offs are in mid range for admission.

Q:   How many seats are available in the BBA programme at OP Jindal Global University, and which institute manages these seats?
A: 

OP Jindal Global University offers a total of 640 seats in its BBA program, and these seats are administered by the Jindal Global Business School, which is a part of the university. This ensures that there is a substantial capacity for students interested in pursuing a BBA education at JGU.

Although, it is not mandatory to attempt all questions in JSAT but it is recommended not to skip a section altogether as it will reflect negatively on your performance.

To be eligible for JSAT, the candidate needs minimum 60% marks in class 12. Candidates appearing in  Class 12 exam or awaiting result can also apply.

There is no passing marks in JSAT. Any candidate who scores more than 0 is eligible for admission. However, selection will be done on the basis of cut offs.

JSAT score is valid for admission for one year. If a candidate appear for JSAT 2026, they can use the score for admission in 2026 only. If they drop this year then they will have to appear for JSAT next year.
