MAHA TET exam pattern 2026 is prescribed by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). The MAHA TET 2026 exam will be conducted on June 28. The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) exam is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for those who want to teach Classes 6 to 8.   • In the Child Psychology and Pedagogy section, questions are related to the educational psychology and teaching-learning process of students in the age group of 6-11 years. The section also includes questions on children with special needs, their characteristics, school interaction and the characteristics of a good teacher. To prepare for this section, candidates can refer to the current syllabus of the teacher diploma.  
  • In Language-I, candidates have the option to choose from English, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Sindhi and Kannada
  • In Language-II, candidates have the option to choose from English and Marathi
  • Questions in the Mathematics section are aimed to test candidates’ knowledge of basic principles of mathematics, logic and problem solving

Nature and Level of Questions in MAHA TET Paper 2

The section also includes questions on children with special needs, their characteristics, school interaction and the characteristics of a good teacher. To prepare for this section, candidates can refer to the current syllabus of the teacher diploma course relevant for the age group of 11-14 years.  
  • In Language-I, candidates have the option to choose from English, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Sindhi and Kannada
  • In Language-II, candidates have the option to choose from English and Marathi
