RRB Notification 2025: The authority announced the Railway NTPC UG Notification PDF on October 27 for CEN No. 05/2025. Also, the notification for the Graduate posts for CEN No. 06/2025 was released on October 21. The last date to apply for Graduate post was extended till November 27. And the last date to submit the application form for Undergraduate was November 27. A total of 8875 vacancies were declared. 

RRB Group D Notification 2026
The RRB Group D notification was delayed for CEN No. 09/2025. It was released on January 30, 2026 to fill up a total of 22000 vacancies. The detailed RRB Group D 2026 notification was released in PDF form. It comprises the details related to the exam. RRB Notification 2025: Application Form

The application form for the RRB exams is released online for various exams on the official website. No other mode of application is accepted for the recruitment exam. The application form comprises various parts. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. The application fee is INR 500 except for all fee concession categories. RRB Group D

RRB Group D exam comprises CBT and PET followed by document verification. The CBT comprises objective-type questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The total mark for the test is 100.

RRB NTPC

The exam pattern is divided into the first stage CBT, second stage CBT, CBAT and typing skill test. The first and second stage CBTs comprise objective-type questions spread over three sections. The test paper for the first stage of CBT will have 100 questions while the second stage of CBT will have 120 questions. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. The CBAT is conducted for a few posts where candidates are given different test batteries consisting of five-six tests. Typing skill test is also specific to the posts. Candidates are given to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Computer.

RRB ALP

The first stage of CBT of RRB ALP comprises four sections. The total marks of the test are 75. The duration of the test is 60 minutes.

The second stage of CBT is divided into two parts. Part A comprises questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Part B questions are relevant to the trade.

CBAT which is conducted for Assistant Loco Pilot Post comprises five test batteries. Candidates need to score at least 42 in each test battery.

RRB JE

The first stage of CBT comprises four sections. The total mark of the test is 100. The duration of the test is 90 minutes.

The second stage of CBT comprises General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities. The total marks for the test are 150. The duration of the test is 120 minutes.

Educational Qualification: The minimum education qualification for candidates applying to the technical departments is Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom departments) and catering wing of Railways will be a Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or Class 10 pass plus ITI.

RRB NTPC

Age Limit: The age limit for the undergraduate post is 18 to 30 years. The age limit for the graduate post is 18 to 33 years.

  • For undergraduate posts, candidates must have passed Class 12

Q:   What is the physical efficiency test in the RRB Group D exam?
A: 
Once candidates qualify for the computer-based tests of RRB Group D exam, then they are called for Physical Efficiency. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory, and it is qualifying in nature. In PET, the male candidates should be to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down and should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. In PET, the female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down and should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
Q:   In how many languages RRB Group D question paper will be framed?
A: 

RRB Group D CBT question paper will be available in 15 languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. The language of the paper is based on the region or the specific exam. But the majority of Railway Recruitment Board papers will be in the official language of the state in which the exam is conducted. For example, if the exam is taking place in Tamil Nadu, the paper is likely to be in Tamil. Likewise, if the exam is taking place in Kolkata, the language of the question paper will be in Bengali. Candidates can choose the exam language while filling out the application form.

After five years RRB NTPC salary will increase due to increment and promotions. The basic salary for Undergraduate posts might range from INR 22,400 to 24,500.
