RRB NTPC Salary & Structure: Check Job Profile After 7th Pay Commission

RRB NTPC exam pattern and selection process has been revised for graduate and undergraduate posts. The revision in the exam pattern has been done in the second stage CBT. The second stage CBT has been made common for all the levels for graduate and undergraduate posts. The revised exam pattern is given below.

RRB NTPC salary is different for different posts. The starting basic salary for undergraduate posts ranges between INR 19,900 to 21,700. RRB NTPC salary for graduate posts ranges between INR 25,500 to 35,400. RRB NTPC salary for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk is INR 21,700. RRB NTPC salary for Junior Clerk cum Typist is INR 19,900. RRB NTPC salary for Station Master is INR 35,400. The salary offered to the Commercial Apprentice through RRB NTPC exam is INR 35,400.

The basic salary of RRB JE is INR 35,400. The pay band for this post is INR 35,400-1,12,400 and the grade pay is INR 4200. The basic RRB NTPC salary for 12th pass posts ranges between INR 19,900 to 21,700 (varies as per posts). The basic RRB NTPC salary for graduate posts ranges between INR 25,500-35,400 (varies as per posts).. .

The graduate-level posts under RRB NTPC include Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper. RRB NTPC salary for graduate posts is given below. RRB Group D is the entry-level job in the Indian railway while RRB NTPC comes under the category of group C jobs, which are next to Group D posts. For RRB Group D posts, the educational qualification required is a Class 10th pass. For RRB NTPC undergraduate posts, candidates must have passed Class 12th. The posts announced under RRB Group D are Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T departments), Pointsman, etc. The posts announced under RRB NTPC are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, and Station Master.

The job profile of RRB NTPC Station Master is supervising the work of assigned railway station, works as the in-charge of the assigned railway station, ensure timely arrival & departure of trains and handling the issues faced by the passengers. Total pay of Station Master is INR 54,360.

There are two stage Computer Based Test (CBTs) followed by Computer based Aptitude Test (CBAT)/ Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable. The Computer-based Aptitude Test for Station Master and the Typing Skill Test are held for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist. For Goods Train Manager, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, there are only two stage CBTs followed by document verification and medical examination. 

After five years RRB NTPC salary will increase due to increment and promotions. The basic salary for Undergraduate posts might range from INR 22,400 to 24,500. RRB NTPC salary for Graduate posts might range between INR 28,700 and INR 39,900. In addition, candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other benefits. 

RRB NTPC age limit for candidates applying for the undergraduate level posts should be 18 to 33 years. The age limit for graduate-level posts is 18 to 36 years. RRB NTPC exam is conducted to fill up various graduate and undergraduate posts under Non-Technical Popular Categories in various zones of Indian Railways. The posts announced under RRB NTPC are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master.

Yes, there is a minimum qualifying cut off in RRB NTPC exam. The minimum qualifying marks for CBT 1 and 2 are below:

General, EWS: 40 per cent

OBC and SC: 30 per cent 

ST: 25 %

 

There is a probation period for RRB NTPC employees. The probation period is two years. During that period, employees might not get full benefits. The starting basic salary range offered to undergraduate posts is INR 19,900 to 21,700. While the graduate post employees are offered RRB NTPC salary in the range of INR 25,500 to IBR 35,400.

There will be two stage CBTs for RRB NTPC undergraduate posts followed by Computer based Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable. Typing Skill Test for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. Subsequently, there will be document verification and medical examination. For Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk there shall be two stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination. RRB wise short listing of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT is done at the rate
of 15 times the vacancies. The short listing for Computer Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done to the extent of 8 times the vacancies (may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway Administration) based on the merit of the candidates in 2nd Stage CBT. When a candidate is qualified in 1st stage CBT & shortlisted for subsequent stages as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD he/she will continue to be considered as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD respectively in all subsequent stages.

RRB NTPC exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for various non-technical level posts in Indian Railways. The educational qualification is prescribed by RRBs for undergraduate and graduate posts. The educational qualification for undergraduate posts is that candidates must have Class 12 from any recognised board. The educational qualification prescribed for graduate posts is that candidates must have passed graduation from a recognised university.
