RRB NTPC Shift Timings 2026: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) decides Railway NTPC shift timings as per the number of candidates. The exam is conducted in multiple shifts. The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam will be conducted from March 16 to 27 at various centres across the country. The shift timings details consists of the reporting time, closing gate time, exam time all this will be provided in the city slip and additionally name and address of the exam centre is provided on the RRB NTPC admit card. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre before the reporting time to avoid last minute rush. The Railway Board released the RRB NTPC admit card for CBT 1 exam for CEN No. 06/2025 on the official and regional websites.
The CBT 1 exam is held in three shifts. Further, the CBT 2 is conducted in two shifts. RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam timings 2026 are 9 AM to 10.30 AM, 12.45 PM to 2.15 PM and 4.30 PM to 6 PM. RRB NTPC CBT 1 Shift Timings 2026

The RRB NTPC 2026 Graduate Level CBT 1 exam for CEN No. 06/2025 was conducted from March 16 to 27 at various centres across the country. The city intimation slip was released on the official portal.
The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is held for 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe). The questions are based on General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam is held for 100 marks.
The duration of the test is 90 minutes (120 minutes is given to PwBD candidates). The CBT 2 exam is conducted for the qualified candidates of CBT 1 exam. After five years RRB NTPC salary will increase due to increment and promotions. The basic salary for Undergraduate posts might range from INR 22,400 to 24,500. RRB NTPC Exam Day Guidelines
The Railway recruitment Board recruits the candidates for the RRB NTPC exam. It is advised to the candidates to follow the exam day guidelines on the examination day to ensure a smooth and hassle free exam entry and experience. It is mandatory for the candidates to follow the exam day instructions. They should carry an admit card along with valid ID proof. Also, if a candidate arrives late after the gate closing time will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Usually it has been seen that candidates can not leave the exam hall before the conclusion of an exam unless permitted by the invigilator. RRB NTPC exam day guidelines are given below:
- Banned items are electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, pager, watches, Bluetooth, calculator, metallic wears, bangles, belts, bracelets, books, papers, etc are not allowed inside the exam centre
- Candidates should not carry pen/pencil inside the test centre
- Pen will be provide during the exam
- Candidates should not apply henna/Mehendi because there will be a biometric capture
- No candidates will be allowed inside the test centre after the gate closing time for the date and shift in the RRB NTPC admit card
- Candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test, so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test
- Candidates must carry at least one original and valid photo identification card
- Candidates can view question papers in the language opted by them at the time of filling the RRB NTPC application form and in English Language
- Candidates must write their roll number and name on the rough sheets. The rough sheets have to be returned after the test
- During the exam, additional biometric LTI, photograph capture and attendance, including physical LTI and signature of the candidates, will be taken and no extra time will be given as this is a part of the exam process

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2026
Railway NTPC paper pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam. It is divided into CBT 1, 2, CBAT/TST, DV and Medical Exam. The exam structure for different stages is given below.
